Madang Korean BBQ

This is THE KBBQ place! Had an amazing time at Madang.

From atmosphere, service, to food, everything is perfect for your night out. The meat quality is amazing and excellent value as they use charcoal unlike other places that go electric. We had one of their BBQ sets which come with stew, steamed egg, ssam and rice which is a great option if you want the full KBBQ experience.

Along with BBQ, highly recommend sides like corn cheese and chicken wings as they have a very unique flavour to it!

The service was impeccable as the attentive staff cook the meat to perfection for you.

If you’re looking to have KBBQ in Melbourne, then look no further as you’ve found the right place (the only photo I have as I was too busy eating)

Great experience. Food came out in a timely manner, everyone was satisfied. Only thing was that servers did not bring water refills to the table unless prompted -had to ask for more water.

Good service, the staff would assist and ensure the meat are cooked to perfection. A very enjoyable experience.

A very pleasant Korean BBQ experience here. The meat selection is top notch and the charcoal grill is perfect. The staff are very friendly and help you grill the meat to perfection. The stews and other appetiser dishes are very good too. Parking is abundant nearby. Highly recommended!

A great Korean option for those living locally. We were quite happy with our order of beef bulgogi bibimbap, the soft tofu stew and the seafood pajeon (pancake). We couldn't finish everything and had to takeaway the pancake. The staff thoughtfully packed a small tub of sauce for us to use for our pancake at home.

Prices are pretty reasonable too.

The angus scotch beef was very good and also was the pork belly, though it may be more expensive the quality of meat is nice, the jabjae is good too, they help you cook everything.

I love this place, I have dined here a few times and they also do takeaways. Lovely waitress and chef! I can't wait to go eat here again.

Loved this K BBQ spot which was hidden among the stream of shops near Mitcham station ️ upon walking in the door, you are welcomed by clean and modern interior with a great atmosphere.

In terms of food, meat quality was fantastic and there was a great selection of packages and side dishes. We left feeling soooo full.

Highly recommend bringing a few friends to share.

Only downside was our first beef fillet was burnt to a crisp as the staff pulled down the extractor fan and left it for a really long time and it especially caught on fire. However they replaced the meat afterward so it was all good.

We had a great time here. The food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had the Trio set menu, and it featured some very good meat barbecued right on the table.

Great little place, perfect for a date night or big groups. Service is good, would probably recommend avoiding when it’s hot weather as having the coals in front of you keeps you toasty!

Greatest Korea restaurant ever the waitress is kind the food is great and you can order food and cook it by yourself!

Although it’s quite busy, the atmosphere is great and it’s popular for a reason, the food and service is excellent and Madang is a great dining experience and very reasonably priced considering the quality and service

The food has always been good, but service tonight was poor. The staff are strangely unfriendly and ungracious in the way they try and move you along when they need their tables back. Left us with a negative feeling at the end of the night.

Pretty good place but there is no dog on the menu, so don't come here if you want authentic taste.

It was a delightful experience and the customer service is exceptional, there has lots of space and great cuts of meat.

Got Korean BBQ fusion set, fried chicken wings, bimbimbap and extra pork belly for a gentlemen’s $176. Happy with the food, but service was a bit average. Got handed the bill without asking and they said they need the table back, which I was aware of beforehand. But, they could’ve done this in a nicer way.

Ordered the fusion Korean bbq set for two and a seafood pancake. We think one of the best dish was the corn cheese. Among the set, you could choose two meats out of 4 or 5 choices, and we went for scotch fillet and short ribs. We think it’s a little pricy and would be one of the best Korean bbq around town.

Terrible service, made a booking 1 week ago call to confirm and no booking! No help to fix it very disappointing

Love the dark & elegant interior. Staff are rather quiet but did their job. Tried different meats for bbq. Beef bulgogi was everyone’s favourite that night. I had high expectation for their galbi (beef ribs) but that was not marinaded at all, unlike galbi I had in the past. Japchae was very nice. Fried chicken was nice and crispy on the outside, moist inside and tasty! They nailed the fried chicken! Seafood pancake was good, you can see the shrimps pieces. Overall very great bbq place to go to.

Went again and had chili pork belly for bbq and it was nice, not spicy at all. Tried their fried chicken of sweet chili and garlic soy sauce flavours, both nice but prefer the garlic soy. Kimchi pancake very nice and has chunks of seafoods so that was great!

Been here a few times. Always had the set menus as it never disappoints particularly the wagyu beef one. Soft, mouth melting and tender meat. Delicious!
The waiters/waitresses were attentive most of the time but sometimes can be over-attentive in cooking the meat on the charcoal which is at times annoying, particularly with people like myself who know how to cook beef/steak and have been to many Korean BBQ restaurants before with a similar charcoal set up.
Perhaps for next time, they can just ask the table whether they need assistance in cooking and if the customer says no, then leave them be to cook by themselves.
Overall, I was very happy with the food and the customer service in general.
The price in my opinion is on the reasonable to high end spectrum.
