Recently purchased a console from Lumber. The quality and attention to detail of the console is fantastic. Dealing with both Matt and Angelique has been extremely easy. We are now looking at purchasing a dining table from them.

We love our new dining table and entertainment unit its a great addition to our new home. Visiting the busy workshop in Moorabbin to see first hand the quality custom pieces at different build stages confirmed what we were looking for. The ability to customise the entertainment unit to our dimensions and configuration made it a simple choice. We were more than happy to have a longer lead time to ensure that our custom pieces received the attention to detail they deserve.

After searching for months and months I couldn’t find a dining table that I liked. I did have something unique in mind.

Finally, after meeting with Matt at Lumber Furniture I was able to create the perfect dining table in a wood colour that worked well with our home. I couldn’t believe in today’s day and age I got a ‘real’ Australian custom made piece of furniture (art) that actually made my vision come to life!

I couldn’t be happier. Actually ecstatic would be closer to what I felt. Our family will enjoy our table for years to come.

Not only was I able to make a dream come true for our home but dealing with such beautiful people that were considerate to our needs and communicated so well throughout the whole lengthy process.

As per other reviews on here, please think long and hard before ordering from Lumber Furniture. Their responsiveness is good until you have committed to buying, then it's like they couldn't care less about you. I ordered a table in June last year, paid in full for an 8-9 week turnover and ended up receiving it in late November. Throughout the more than 20 weeks, the communication was absolutely disgusting! Text messages unanswered, calls not returned, emails not replied to. The receptionist would take a message and promised that someone would call back, but they never did. We found the only way of getting a response from them was to post something on social media (which was quickly deleted). They would promise a deadline and then not deliver on their promise. They need to start focusing on their customers instead of their social media and stop trying to drum up business until they learn to produce goods in a timely manner.
The table itself is great but not worth the hassle and the long wait.

We just picked up some beautiful furniture and cannot wait to display it in our home. Looking forward to collecting the rest of our custom order in a few months time.

I love our reclaimed Northcoast coffee and side tables. The feature is stunning and a real conversation starter. Can’t wait to get our dining table next!

Hi, just like to share my experience with Matt and Angelique who are the owners of Lumber Furniture. Matt makes truly beautiful bespoke furniture and I have just acquired my gorgeous dining table. It is Messmate timber and is 2.7 meters. A lot of love and care goes into making these unique pieces which is evident in the finished product. We recently brought the most amazing US walnut chopping boards from Matt and the team at Lumber Furniture.

The service provided by Matt was outstanding - he even was able to fit us in for a quote on some furniture for our upcoming build!

I contacted Lumber as they came recommended by two completely different groups of friends. Matt was really helpful in ensuring I was completely satisfied with the end product - he helped choose the right type of timber and recommended various designs. We even selected the timber boards together on the factory floor and he's been super patient as I had changed my mind a couple of times! Excellent service and quality product.

Customer service was great. Matt was a pleasure to deal with. Our custom island was delivered in one week. We've had it for a few months now and are completely satisfied. Quality work.

My live edge dining table arrived today from Lumber Furniture and I'm lost for words on how to describe it. It is simply stunning! The team were very helpful in choosing the perfect slab for us with hundreds to choose from, they were able to match: the tone, feature level and grain to our kitchen dining area within the 30 minute appointment. Visiting the state of the art facility and watching a slab being levelled illustrated for us that there was only 1 choice for when purchasing our special live edge dining table.
Communication & knowledge throughout the process was excellent. We highly recommend Lumber Furniture and we'll be back for more beautiful pieces in the future.

Poor customer service. Still waiting for call back after speaking with lady a couple of times over past month. They say they will follow up but donuts in return. Deposit put down 3 months ago and no information since. Disapppointing. Man said during appointment "don't call us" to check on order. Excuse me, who is the customer? ! We are now 3 weeks overdue and Xmas shutdown coming up.

I love my beautiful dining table it is out of this world. Thank-you lumber furniture for taking the time to listen to my needs and taking the time to build a beautiful piece.

While I was extremely happy with the product, it took significantly longer to arrive then originally suggested. Despite paying the full amount for express build time to have it delivered within 6-8 weeks (plus 1-2 weeks for delivery), my table did not arrive until 16 weeks later. During this time communication was EXTREMELY poor, no contact was made unless initiated with myself and response time was slow. Twice when I enquired on the time frame for the arrival of my table I was told it was on its way and would be delivered by a given date. The date would then pass with no contact or explanation why the table had not arrived and I would then have to re-contact lumber furniture and go through the same process.

We ordered a custom dining table early this year after a long time searching for something we were happy with.

The table is stunning, obviously of extremely high quality, and we are thrilled with the end product.

The only reason for four stars and not five, was a delay from the quoted build time, and it was difficult to obtain updates. After we received the table, The owner explained that issues with staff transition and wood supply were causing the delay, which is fair enough. They have advised me that they have changed their system since to improve this. I would have given 4.5 stars if possible.

As long as you are prepared to wait, the craftsmanship is beautiful and well worth it.

Matt was so easy to deal with from day 1. Helped me design a piece to suit what I had dreamed up and the end result was beyond what I could have hoped for.

Our coffee table has turned out better than we could have ever expected. The detail and finish is outstanding and I'd highly recommend Lumber Furniture to anyone after a custom piece.
