49 Dropped in for a impromptu lunch. Location was very nice and glorious view from the restaurant.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Brought out drinks straight away.
Loved they had the option to use QR code for ordering. (You could also order traditionally too) Was easy and worked great. The food was very nice. Particularly the fish and chips. Legit the best I’ve had in a while.
All in all. Worth the Sunday venture out to give a try.
Meals a little pricey for a pub feed and then to have 10% added due being a Sunday! We had the Gnocchi and Prawn spaghetti which both had great flavours and friendly staff.
Tried to stop in for a drink and a meal after a long day on the road and were told we couldn’t be served without a mask. We politely let the workers know we have medical exemptions and legitimate reasons for not wearing one. They demanded to see our medical documentation - private documentation between ourselves and the doctor. We were refused because we did not feel comfortable disclosing this information. Absolute discrimination. Their loss, the Mexican restaurant around the corner was much more accommodating.
House bubbles had no bubbles
Ordered a Rosè as a replacement and it was foul. The worst tasting wine I've encountered since the 80s
Food was nice but not worth how much we paid for it. The guy forgot our order I realised this after the 2 tables after us got their drinks first, of course he made an excuse up!
Customer service was horrible. They where pretty busy and possibly not enough staff and over worked. The seating was very tight hardly any room to pull the chair in and out. Would not recommend this place.
Terrible hospitality weightier was rude and snappy. The weightier remarked she would remember the order and didn’t need to write it down. Turns out she forgot the order (3 pamas) and it took 1.5 hours for our food to come. Worst pub in the area
Food was ok. They got the food and first round of drinks out quickly, but then totally ignored until we left. Seems like the just want to churn though people.
Has premium accommodation, Movida and Coda restaurants along with bistro and beer garden. Staff are amazing, very friendly, and the room I had which was the budget room was exceptional. I was cycle touring and the team were very accommodating making sure I had a place to stow my bike for the night.
Lovely weekend spent at Lorne Hotel over the Easter long weekend. Small quaint room, suitable for family of 4. Very clean with comfortable beds (brought our own pillows).
The location was very central, a couple of minutes walk to the beach and to the town.
Recommend and would stay again!
Meal was good and so were staff. However the man on the front door Ran was unwelcoming and rude in the manner he spoke to us in.
Worst experience in my life. I had a booking for a family gathering for 18 months but had to keep changing due to Covid. I ensiked and phoned each time and got email replies that it was all possible to keep the booking. I then checked three weeks before and spoke to the most arrogant staff member I have ever encountered telling me I didn’t have a booking. I sent all emails to prove the booking. Then I get miss arrogant ringing back with all these restrictions as they didn’t have the booking. Not my fault as I gad email proof. Was told my gathering would have to spread over the whole restaurant snd I wasn’t to upset other patrons.
Seriously.
They lost my booking and I have to suffer.
Was told by miss attitude that it was the managers decision.
Manager then phoned three days before to tell me he wasn’t honouring my booking.
Really. 40 people were meant to be there 3 days later.
Worst run organisation I have ever encountered.
Thank god for their competition who did everything to have my business and make everyone happy.
Visited twice this weekend. The food was fantastic. Great atmosphere brilliant service from all the staff.especially Shane he is a brilliant host and has great customer service skills. He is a credit to your company. Will definitely be back. Keep up the great work.
Booked approx 3 weeks ago for my mother’s 80th birthday celebration in the bistro, only to arrive and be placed in the lounge area which consisted of high tables, barstools, no cutlery or napkins and sport playing on the tv - very different to the bistro setting we had booked for. When I brought this to the attention of the manager I was dismissed and told that I needed to specify the bistro when making the booking, which I had done and showed him evidence in my email confirmation. His reply was ‘I can’t make a table appear out of nowhere’ which was arrogant and dismissive with no consideration for my elderly mother. Such a disappointing outcome for what we hoped was going to be a memorable evening. Will not be back.
Service was disgusting. Waitress insulted table and then avoided us for the time we were seated. Highly disappointing. Food was ok service dampened experience.
Very clean and spacious room, bright passage way, excellent view from balcony, soothing wave sounds from ocean especially at night. Nice and quiet. Close to shops and coffee service down the street. Will definitely stay again.
Really enjoyed the san choy bow, spring rolls and the saganaki. Young and attentive staff as well
We ate in the beer garden terrace and it was lovely. Overlooking the water and under cover. My girlfriend was able to get gluten free beer there which is few and far between in other places. The parma waa delicious with chips and salad. Very nice staff and with the ability to pay an order via a QR code on the table we didn't even have to get up. Beats lining up for sure. Would definitely come back.
This place is ideal and not noisy like other places within the immediate vicinity. Kids will love seeing skinks. Location to all you require (especially the beach) will keep us booking ahead a full 12 months.
Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, spent over a grand and didn't even get a carpark reserved for us. Was VERY inconvenient and when asked staff about it, they stated there was some parking out the back (which was taken every time because staff stated some people staying here have 2 cars.) or public car parking across the road. So everytime we went out for the day, we'd have to drive around the town trying to find a park despite the fact we spent over a grand to stay there. They really need to consider putting an extra carpark for paying customers.
Also ate at the restaurant and the staff were quite rude from start to end. We booked a table for 6.15 and arrived early so we asked if we could wait at the bar or outside while we waited for friends to arrive. Instead, they sat us at the table even though we have told more than one staff member that our booking wasn't until 6.15. When our friends arrived at about 5.45, they kept coming over and asking if we wanted to order and we weren't ready yet. It got to 6pm and they told us we should probably order because we had to be out soon as we had been here for an hr already. We told them that we had told multiple staff that our booking was at 6.15 but they still sat us at our table early. The staff were then VERY rude and rushed us to order and after spending $250 at their restaurant, we didn't even get a goodbye or thankyou from the girl at the door, just a rude look. Very disappointed.
Bistro has great views but really overpriced and underwhelming food. $29 fish and chips that is greasy and not even crispy. Worse than our local fish n chip shop, even the $39 version of the same dish! Better places in Lorne to eat but sometimes this is only place with availability.
