Looksmart Alterations

I had a ten-year-old jacket that I needed tapered and the inside lining changed, and I'm pleased to say they did a wonderful job. I cannot suggest their team highly enough since the people there are incredibly detail-oriented and have a tasteful selection of materials.

These lovely ladies accepted my last minute alteration despite the fact they were almost closing (and after another place had understandably turned me away). Their work was meticulous and of an extremely high standard. My alteration ended up taking longer than expected due to it being more difficult than they originally thought, but they got the job done without any complaint. I am incredibly grateful for their friendliness, time and labour.

Love the friendly customer services, the work and the people! Have a few clothing items altered by them and love the results. It's my go to spot for alteration!:)

My favourite dressing gown was completely falling apart, holes in the armpits, all the seams coming apart, the lapels falling off, just done for - and they repaired it good as new, and I have it back again, and I'm so pleased!

The change of management in the last year or so of this store has been absolutely fantastic. The new ladies do phenomenal work, my brother recommended this place to me and all the garments I’ve had done here have been wonderful. Even pieces where other shops have refused due to difficulty, they have worked on with such professionalism. The seamstresses here have had more than 30 years experience and can do most jobs, it’s great, I cannot recommend a better place. Fiona and Sophia are incredible, good job ladies!

With a pear-shaped figure I often struggle to find pants that fit me properly. They perform amazing alterations and ensure that I'm satisfied with the final product. They also have very great customer service.

5 out of 5 for Customer Service, Quality and Price. The minute you walk in, you are welcomed and your every need is well taken care of. After my first visit to Looksmart Alterations at Melbourne Central, the results blew me away and I had to go back again to make amendations to my other pants.   

ABSOLUTE AMAZING! Don't waste your time elsewhere, just go there and get your garments altered that hugs your body perfectly.  I couldn't be more contented with the results, extremely happy with the alternations because the fit is always on point. My pants were altered and tapered to the perfect length and width. In addition, they even have an eye for detail, using the same colour thread which blends into your clothes flawlessly.

I needed a pair of jeans hemmed and a coat altered that was two sizes too big for me. Looksmart MC did a fantastic job on both - even tailoring the coat to suit my body shape. I am very happy with the results and the lovely service I received.

Very bad service. I phoned to check if I could bring my alterations by 7pm and was then refused when I arrived 10 mins early. Had rushed like crazy for half an hour to get there. Not happy Jan. The man was there but he wouldn’t help out. Never again.

This place closes before their advertised trading hour, I am pretty sure that they don’t want to make money and certainly not going to take good care on your shirts.

I just got a very complicated job done and Elena did an amazing job and she is such a lovely lady to, nothing is a problem for her.
I highly recommend her she is a true professional.

Excellent service. I have had a family emergency and I had to alter my suit, and the lady there, Sarah, she was very professional, lovely and did me a great service despite the short time I have put, and the busy time (Was Saturday), thanks very much Sarah.

Avoid this store. Shocking customer service. Went in to get 2 tshirts altered to be smaller, the guy serving said about 2 words total to me. Not even hello when I got there. Cost around 80 dollars total. If you can support another business I would go to them instead. For the price you should expect better

Irregular opening hours, went to the store to collect clothes that I urgently needed but it was closed before the supposedly closing time. Also, this place is pricey

I finally found my alteration shop after years:) reasonable price, quality work and great customer service. Thanks Looksmart Alteracion in Melbourne Central.
