Longbeach Hotel reviews
83 We had the seafood platter it was delicious The Goddly sauce mmmm give me the recipe please
Service, environment and food really good.
Will definitely be visiting again
We have always enjoyed this venue. Staff are pleasant, and food has always been ok.
They usually offer several vegetarian options, which many places seem to neglect.
Seniors enjoy a 20% discount on mains from the regular menu. They also have a kids menu as well as a seniors menu.
There is a free car park behind the hotel.
Great food and service need to tell bogan parents from other suburbs that it’s not alright to let your kids run wild unattended there is a playground provided
Grand Final Day Eve we went out for drinks, we had a waitress called mia. This girl deserves a pay rise.she was the nicest waiter ive ever met! KEEP IT UP!
Birhday meal for partner. Service was warm friendly & observant without being obtrusive.
Home made dressing for salad, pesto hollandaise sauce for beautifully cooked barramundi and flavours emanating from basic 2 vegetabke soup to die for.
Love the fish tank and beer vat in foyer and overall cleanliness of establishment.
Full marks
What a great little find. Offering ‘Seniors Discounts’. The Lamb Roast was perfect for lunch- including Mont sauce ‘ crunchy broccoli & beans (perfectly cooked). Potatoes could have been ‘crunchier’ outer coating for a roasted flavour. The entree- ‘Bang Bang Cauliflower’ was great- but needs a slightly different ‘batter’ to add more flavour. The Vegetarian Pasta- could have done with much greater flavour also- perhaps include Pumpkin, Pine Nuts, and spinach? The Pasts was just too bland & really felt like I was eating passata tomatoes with cooked penne. Service & staff are amazing! I look forward to coming back again soon.
Dropped in for lunch with my sister. Enjoyed the experience. Pleasant atmosphere. Food.
As I entered I noted the fish tank needed time spent cleaning it. Needs a Professional clean. Not a nice environment for the fish. The fish tank is a centre point.
Being ignored by maitre d who then seats another group that arrived after you is off putting.
Returned for dinner after a long hiatus. I had the curry of the week which was Lankan chicken curry. It was tasty & it had a good level of spice also which I enjoyed. The menu has improved so will return to try other menu items. Service friendly.
We had a wonderful 3 generation Family Dinner at Costelol's Longbeach Hotel, extensive, great value menu, lovely food, prompt and friendly service, well priced drinks, a wonderful night out.
Staff were really friendly good selection of drinks and the wine was nice. Porterhouse steak was average at best. Good for the younger families with a good play room.
Food generally in Melbourne is amazing and Longbeach Hotel keeps up with that pace. Visited here twice from Canada in 2017 and 2022 - both times staff were amazing and food was fantastic. Highly recommended.
Good clean pub/bistro.
Varied menu with all the usuals, including seniors.
Food is good without being spectacular - it's pub food.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
The worst Caesar salad I have ever been offered. Management has not responded to my complaint.
I don’t know if they’re new owners or cooks but we just went back after about 12 months of not being here. The steak is off cuts, the porterhouse was half bones. My vegetables were cold on the inside yet slightly warm to touch on the outside. The DIY bruschetta comes with cooked tomatoes… (bruschetta is meant to be a fresh dish- it does not mention COOKED tomatoes on menu) and came with 8 halves of cherry tomatoes to cover 4 pieces of toasted ciabatta. The meals were well over priced for the taste. ($44 eye fillet which has been clearly frozen)
Absolutely magnificent. Food was fantastic staff was very friendly. The only negative was a hair in my Food from the chef.
Awful service we went Saturday 16th Dec.both of us order a steak/chips/salad. Finally arrived after ONE hour steak overcook, chips cold. Sent it back took another HALF an hour to bring it back. It looked like the same steak was warmed up because it was tough as anything, same chips and salad with the olive oil we used before. I believe that they didn't replace fresh anything, only warmed up what was in the plate. By the time we left it was 8pm almost two hours waiting for an appalling dinner. Didn't offer a courtesy dessert or drink it was at my husband's suggestion to replace the beer we have that was getting warm after the long wait.
WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD, TERRIBLE FOOD, went today 29th December, all meals were overcooked dry meat, overcooked chips and over oiled salad and took almost an hour to receive, complained to staff who appeared not to care at all either the dishwasher was doing the cooking or just a chef who has given up. Not returning to this pub again.
Called in for lunch, had Nasi goreng which was quite enjoyable also a cappuccino to wash it down. The service was great and staff were very efficient and friendly. I recommend anyone returning from the Peninsula to stop by and try their meals.
Excellant service nicely presented food. Clean and great for a seniors lunch.
Friendly and warm
