Little Swallow Cafe reviews
64One of the best cafes have ever been too. Big claim but there you go. Well done to the owners and staff.
Had lunch here and it was great. The outside courtyard is charming and there's lots of gluten free options. Jessie the cavoodle was very welcome. We loved it.
My wife and I now schedule our trips to Kyneton only on the days that this cute cafe is open. We love the food, the coffee, the atmosphere but most importantly the people. Ed and his crew are local legends.
During the height of Victoria's crushing Covid lockdowns we were able to find respite one day at this cafe for lunch - and as we went to pay Ed insisted our lunch was complimentary as the cafe wanted to tell its customers how much they appreciated their business during those dark times. Such incredible generosity and we have never forgotten.
Reasonable breakfast option in Kyneton. We were seated pretty quickly despite them being very busy A little slow on the service side but if you're not in a rush it's no issue at all. The poached eggs and bacon on toast were good. Coffee was ok. Overall it was your typical small town cafe experience. Other breakfast options looked pretty decent and menu had all the cafe classics.
I had heard great things about Little Swallow Cafe. It didn't live up to the hype for me. I had the vegetarian breakfast, and the hash brown was not nice at all, the mushroom and tomato were good, the spinach nice. The big blob of mashed avocado on the side of the plate really needed to be served with toast. The two eggs were served on one piece of toast cut in half, the toast had a burnt taste. I had fresh juice made up of all the options, but all I could taste was oranges. The Chai was nice.
Visited twice over the weekend. Their coffee is made to perfection. Tried a vegan dish, I’m not vegan, however wanted something light. It was delicious. Their passion fruit and lemon slice was delicious, my grandma could have made it! Lovely ambience, service was great and friendly. They also have a lovely garden area at the back. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food, coffee and fresh juices and also has a great vibe. Well worth the stop into Kyneton. After lunch there is some wonderful shops to browse through.wish we had more time.
Been to this gem of a cafe on a few occasions, in fact, it's somewhere I go on every visit to Kyneton. The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is never rushed and comfortable, and the food and coffee is next level! I had the Korean Chicken burger. My mouth is watering just writing this review. It is, by a very wide margin, the best burger you'll ever have. I'm driving 2hrs back there next weekend just for it. The breakfasts are so well combined with fresh ingredients and the care the kitchen puts into every mouthful is worth every minute of your dining experience. Please do not go here, because I need to ensure there's a spare table for me at all times.
Food was delicious, service excellent and best of all, the water was chilled, not straight from the tap. Extra star for that offering.
Service; amazing
Food; delicious
We popped in on the busy Sunday lunch rush. Staff found us a table upstairs. The food was divine. Plenty of vegan and vego options.
Definitely dropping in again for the acai bowl.
Nice place to have brunch, it was busy so they put us in a private room. Made brunch more relaxing!
Excellent food and service, the staff are very polite and friendly. The meals are very tasty, presented beautifully and excellent value.
First time here. Fantastic eatery. Best pea and ham soup I think I've ever had. My wife had the sweet corn fritters. Highly recommend.
Wonderful coffee, really nice minestrone soup and excellent service, so accommodating. Thank you for the great experience
Often go here when in Kyneton. Very friendly and professional staff and good outdoor space out the back. Menu is good and varied with something for all tastes. I had the okonomoyaki on my last visit and can highly recommend.
We dropped in on our way through Kyneton, what a lovely little cafe with great service and the food was GREAT.
Great food. Staff friendly. Menu prices very good as well. Allround a lovely experience. Well done to all concerned.
Gourmet level smashed avo.really attentive staff and great coffee. Definitely a go-to in Kyneton.
Have been here a couple of times and have never been disappointed. Had the Japanese pancakes…yum. My friend had the smashed avocado which I had the last time I was here and she said it was the best avocado she had eaten. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would I come back…. A definite yes
Absolutely so thrilled to have such a fantastic cafe within driving distance from home. The wait for a table is evidence of the quality of the food and lovely friendly service. Perfect eggs, beautiful coffee and chai, awesome choices for sides. Every person at our table enjoyed 10/10 food and drinks. We shall return!
