53Whilst good value, the Bircher muesli left a bit to be desired. Some yoghurt, fewer sultanas and more finely shredded apple would improve it.
Had breakfast here. Got the scrambled eggs, bacon with rocket on sourdough, it was beautiful. The eggs were light & fluffy with a touch of diced onion through them simple but perfect! Cap was strong, just how I asked for it. Only negative was the Mocha my partner had. The only taste was the almond milk, not a hint of coffee taste.
If you are looking for some really good food in Ballart then you should definitely check this place out. The prawns linguini was superb and the avocado salad did not fell behind. The ambiance of the place is very dark (too dark to my taste) but the decor is very nice. It looks like an old music store that was transformed to a restaurant. The toilets are in the back and require to go through the kitchen of the restaurant (which was interesting on one hand but not so comfortable on the other). Unfortunately inside sitting and toilets does not seem fitting for a wheelchair. There is a menu for breakfast and for lunch, so make sure which one of the dishes you are after and that you are coming in at the time they serve it. We were planning on the morning menu but didn't know until when it was served. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Great local spot!
One of the more underrated spots for a meal or snack, L'espresso is a nice, relaxing, spot in the middle of Ballarat. It has plenty of options available for eaters - vegetarian, gluten free - and the staff are very accommodating. The atmosphere is made even better by the music, which is set at a level that allows you to chat and not yell. I ate here frequently during my time in Ballarat and I will be returning whenever I visit the area.
Walked in at 3pm after seeing menu til 330pm to be told very matter of factly that kitchen had closed.
A nice, pleasant little cafe even at busy times. Great service from the staff with a nice aesthetic atmosphere, you'll feel cozy and right at home.
Great food, try open steak sandwich, it's dreamy.excellent staff, lovely decorations, music everything.
Excellent coffee. Some excellent staff here, one who was having a bad moment though. I'd go back, good menu. Nice older school cafe vibe.
Coffee is superb but waited at till to pay for a while while staff member chatted to other customers without acknowledging my presence. A simple " won't be a moment" would have sufficed. Also asking if we had booked on entry seemed a bit superfluous when there several empty and unbooked tables available.
Scones, cream and Martini. Decadent and yummy. Cream was delish. Lovely place to stop. Very relaxing along the way for road trip. Lots of options. Helpful staff.
Price is way too expensive for what you get. The food wasn’t great and expect to be crammed in a tiny table. The bright side is that it’s easy to make new friends, as you’ll be closer to your neightbours table than the person you’re actually sitting with.
One of the original Ballarat cafes with a great vibe and staff are excellent. They were happy to modify menu for dietary need a.
Friendly and warm with great coffee and quality food. Breakfasenu is innovative with lots of options. Clearly a favourite with the locals.
