Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm reviews
67 The cafe and gardens are very pretty however the cafe prices are outrageous. I ordered a salad which was around $20 and when it arrived at the table it was not even large enough to be called a "side dish".
The gift shop has some good items at acceptable prices. I brought some oils and they have been good quality.
Probably one of the cutest and most romantic places I've been too, unfortunately there was no lavender in bloom but still had an amazing time
Stunning beauty. Make sure to take the time wandering around the whole estate, the less travelled paths are the most serene.
The dried lavender from the store has a hauntingly relaxing fragrance, and the in-house lavender essential oil is also amazing!
Don't miss the chance to spend a nice & quiet few hours here if you're nearby or just passing thru:)
Can't wait to come back in spring!
What a great lunch out. Beautiful sunny winter day. Rustic Italian lunch. Sweet shop. Lovely grounds to walk around. Sweet animals. There was no lavender sadly but we will be back in season.
Daylesford and its people are so lovely, it’s amazing that this tourist spot is as bad as it is.
To even SEE the cafe menu, you have to pay $4 per person to go onto the grounds. The menu is uninspiring, and don’t even bother if you have basic and normal food requirements that are automatically included in any other modern menu in Victoria. (And we ate our way through the holiday - EVERY other place we ate in the Daylesford area had complete menus without even needing to ask for help choosing something.) I found the staff to be incredibly rude - I tried so hard to work with the wait staff at the register who kept waving a piece of paper with hand written notes on it at me, while not telling me what was on the paper, and not providing any assistance. Another staff member stepped in and was going to offer assistance, but then asked the guy serving me “are you right” and he said yes and escalated his tone towards me and became more aggressive waiving the paper at me. Ultimately, I think he wanted to serve me a piece of dry toast with a slice of pumpkin on it.but even then I’m not really sure because he wasn’t really providing any assistance or information.
I purchased something from the gift shop and said it was a gift I would be giving as soon as I got back to the city. They didn’t wrap it or even take the price off it!? I expect an independent gift shop to provide that type of service in the city - I’m really surprised a country tourist hotspot doesn’t.
I strongly recommend against this venue. It was the only negative experience while in Daylesford.
Full disclosure - they gave us all our entry fee back, but that is not enough to avoid this review.
It was my bad luck that I couldnt see lavender blooming when I first came to this farm. However, the view is just amazing and peaceful. I enjoyed every seconds when I was there. Definitely come back in lavender season. They also have a beautiful coffee shop, love it!
This is one of my favorite place to visit. It takes 1 hour half from city.
Escape from noisy everyday life. Beautiful Italian country style garden.
But when we visited, it was off season for the lavender, bit dissapointed but still love walking around.
Nice cottages with nice restaurants. The farm is supposed to be the main attraction but it's looked small and separated in the massive land. It should be better in the lavender season.
Drive up was great. Waiting for drinks a lavender scones took awhile but it was busy afternoon with georgous sunny day
Amazing lavender farm but really rude table staff, I couldn’t wait for my tea I needed a table number when the outside tables aren’t labeled adequately the number is on the side of the table not on top like a normal table number.
Overall lovely views and sites but need to label there tables and train there staff to be more accommodating to the guest.
I shouldn’t need to be seated at a table to be served hot beverages and delights.
Lovely place for a family day out. There's interesting buildings, lovely gardens and lots of wild life to save.
Not sure we arrived at the best time of year, showing the most lavender. The garden was nice and animals nice to see, but feel there might have been more at other times.
Apsalootly butiful. So relaxing and enjoyable bliss. If U want to deal stress, I recamend highly 10 stars. Great lunch. I would love to get married there.
What a beautiful day, wonderful experience! The staff were amazing so helpful and friendly! This is just a totally gorgeous venue to visit, have lunch or hold a function! We brought some wonderful lavender hand cream, lollies, body lotion and very tasty lavender jam! Highly recommended you cannot go to daylesford without a visit
Such a wonderful place to visit if you are in Daylesford. Gorgeous lavender farm. Plenty of parking space and must try the lavender scones from the cosy cafe around the corner of the farm.
Lovely breakfast pizza. Unfortunately it was raining the morning of our visit but we still managed to get out and walk around and meet some of the animals. We were also very lucky that our arrival coincided with a guided tour of the fabulous stone cottage. The only slight downside was when we bought two cake portions to take away we were charged the same price as eating in with cream. Other than that a great visit.
Visited mid morning on a Tuesday and it delighted in every sense. So many garden areas to wander in and enjoy, each different and unique. We ended up having a late morning pizza. Wow what a great choice. Crust to die for and the topping matched. Coffee up to same standard. Definitely recommend. Allow as much time as you can to fully enjoy.
Just ok. Pleasant surroundings and nice garden near the creek. Lukewarm pots of tea were a disappointment, and the lavender scone is definitely an acquired taste. We had a sunny day to enjoy the surrounding lavender plantations, which was all we could do because the old stone house was locked between the few tours (12,2 &. 4 from memory). If you are in town locally then it may be for you, but really best if you like lavender (of course).
What a beautiful venue! Cake and coffee were delicious and the views were stunning. Don't go if you don't like bees happily buzzing around you, some nearby tables seemed to be seriously upset about that?
A wonderful morning with delicious lavender scones. The owners deserve much credit. Definitely want to go back.to stay in the guest accommodation would be very special.
