Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm reviews
67Scenic, wholesome farm with emus, a shaggy cow and beautiful gardens. Tasty food. Watch out for wasps tho.
Only $5 for a lovely day out. Lavender blooms in summer. Great grounds and lovely old buildings and a cafe for lunch.
Great gardens. Scones were so fluffy and amazingly different.
Lavender infused. Just incredible. Definitely not what I was expecting.
Staff and facilities were 100% spot on.
Definately worth a visit.
Location is very nice, food is ok, they desperately need to eradicate the wasps they are literally everywhere, in your food in your face, staff constantly asking people to shut the door, a waste of time, soon as you open the door they fly straight in.
Never seen so many wasps in one place.
Super disappointed after hearing a friend went there many years ago and loved it. Scones were more like cakes, dry and not what we would come to expect and enjoy from a scone. I really doubt it can be classified as a scone. Service was slow and very average, stingy on Jam for 2 scones and to top it off coffee was dreadful served in takeaway cups.
Entry fee of $5 per person even though the cottage was closed.
Food is terrible, service is terrible, experience was terrible. If you want to be swamped by wasps, this is your place to be. Wasps everywhere while your trying to enjoy your terrible food.
Visited in January 27th 2020 in summer. Full of lavender and smells divine!
I went back on May 2021 again.
It was Mother’s Day.
Very very busy at cafe, it took long time to order but food was served quite fast. I had craving with lavender scone with fresh cream and strawberry and lavender jam. Yum!
This is my favorite place to get away from city
The Lavandula farm is absolutely stunning in Autumn. The grounds are wonderful to walk through, with an array of different farm animals spread across the grounds. We saw geese, a highlander cow, chickens, llamas and emus while we were there. The lavender scones are surprisingly delicious too! Purchased some essential oils from the gift store on the way out and they too have been great. Overall, a nice place for a day trip as it's also quite close to Melbourne (under 1.5hr drive if coming from the inner suburbs).
Lavender scones were absolutely worth it! Make sure to grab one if you visit.
However if you're going purely to see the actual lavender farm in bloom, June is definitely not the month for it.
Two of us came to Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm. We particularly enjoyed the eatery food on offer - we had scones with cream and jam, gnocchi and spaghetti with prosciutto. We also enjoyed taking photos in the lavender farm and seeing the farm animals such as the chickens, emus and sheep! Thank you to Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm for your welcoming hospitality and the enjoyable experience:)
Everytime I come out here I always visit as I love being around the scent of lavender. It’s a great place to visit and bring your family or parents, get some lavender flavours scones or drinks at the cafe and then sit in the gardens afterwards and read. Also animals to keep the kids entertained. Great place to just relax.
I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across this location. The drive getting here was great but what a beautiful and picturesque destination to arrive to. They served a beautiful lunch from the old cottage overlooking the great views. U can't wait to go back.
Have visited a few times over the years- such a pretty farm. The latest visit was a bit of a let down - they are charging entry fees for kids /adults, there were long queues and we got overcharged at the gift shop. Maybe avoid busy weekends!
Beautiful place, wish to stay there for more then just a day trip. Only one problem: "human friendly" wasps.
Made a visit with my car club. Plenty of parking. Speedy table service and an interesting atmosphere. The lavender icecream is lovely
A nice little place to have a stroll around. The scenery is just beautiful in autumn with the deciduous trees colour changing and dropping their leaves. We stopped into the cafe to enjoy the famous lavender scones. They were delicious and would recommend if you visit. Plenty of lavender products to purchase from the gift store. The five dollar entry fee is a small price to pay for an hour or so of entertainment.
It’s so pretty here! I love the little store when you enter/leave, there’s so much you can buy! The cafe has delicious lavender scones and lavender lemonade to try. Definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful farm to visit with historic buildings, lavender gardens, farm animals and lovely cafe. Highly recommended their lavender ice cream.
Super interesting place to visit. We opted for an interesting combination of home made mulled wine with ham & scones. Scones were delicious with lavender infused. Super sweet mulled wine but was welcomed with the super icy weather.
I liked it a lot here but I went in May when there isn't any Lavender. So lavender season is in September and summer.
