47 I can c why there is a big difference in the experiences (and reviews) at this place.
Place: looks nice, recently renovated. Not too spacious and filled with tables.
Service: the lady I dealt with was very polite and friendly, however, I can c what people r talking about with regards to costumer service from other staff.
F&B: had a flat white and yes they seem to like to add too much milk. I would say it is below standard for Australia The pastries were of a good quality though.
The place seems to have some previous good reputation (came here based on a recommendation from a friend who had been to Melbourne previously) they should work extra hard to keep it.
And, yes, many older couples come. Nothing wrong with that. I actually enjoyed some of the chats with them.
It's decent. Refreshing palette cleanser to the usual hipster cafes. Coffee is fine but nothing astounding. French cafe fans this is for you.
Very high prices, won't take eftpos for less than $15 (this is 2017), average age of customer is 75, all customers just sit and read books so the atmosphere is like a library
Friendly service, wide range of well presented food and it tasted how it looked. Will be coming back
I ordered a soy mocha and all I could really taste was milk. The caffeine was really weak and couldn't taste any chocolate.
Service was friendly though
We had a hair in our sandwich, the owner just took it away no sorry, no compensation, we had to ask 3 times if we were getting a new sandwich or refund? To which they replied "no".
The food looked excellent and tasted great but the service was very basic and prices were over the top. 2 sweet slices for $20!
