Laurent Bakery East Melbourne reviews
47A great location near the Jolimont tram station. Stopped in for a quick iced latte and iced chai. Iced chai wasn’t on the menu but they were more than willing to accomodate, much appreciated with the hot weather too! The pastries and tarts were delicious—especially passion fruit tart!
A truly french bakery - their breads were very very good. High recommend. Their meals were also really tasty, just a bit pricey but worth it.
Unfortunately my experience was not good I have been many times and this time the disabled toilet was dirty, bin overflowing and taps grubby. The eclairs were tiny and quite soft and it was filled with chocolate and not the normal cream. Will try again as I’m a patient at Freemasons and I do like the coffee
Vsited Laurent bakery opposite to MCG last year. Recalled the place being a cosy little cafe serving good quality desserts and coffees. Will visit again.
I had an experience today with a male barista who made my coffee while on the phone and when I told him about it, is answer was “l’m multitask”, and I told him that he was not professional making me coffee while on the phone, I didn’t think that was appropriate and professional at all.
Delightful selection of baked goods. As a lover of coffee being able to order by the soup bowl was novel without compromising on quality. It was my preferred breakfast location whilst down for latest conference.
Excellent service, amazing food and coffee, and a reasonable price. First place I've eaten at since arriving in Melbourne and I'd definitely return.
Good coffee and pastry. There's no wifi but you can rely on public wifi since it's right in front of the tram station. Also, there are no sockets to charge your devices. The tables of the lounge chairs are not ergonomic.too tall.
This Laurent was not as good as Prahran or Dubai
We tried the flat white, and the cappacino in both Australian venues.
The little charcoal egg burger was good.
The eclair cafe also good.
The croissant okay.
The Parisienne brioche as good as other venue.
Overpriced, old dry food, disorganised and slow service. The staff are trying their hardest but their systems are failing. There appears to be a lack of training. But worst of all, $14 for a sandwich that was disgusting! I won't be going back. There are better places in the area.
Really good selection of pastries and their house coffee blend tastes so amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area, definitely worth checking out. It definitely deserves more recognition.
Incredible pastries and food. The croissants are authentically French. A rare find. Service is excellent and fabulous location - not amongst the hustle and bustle and just a short walk from our hotel Pullman. Will definitely visit again when we are in Melbourne and continue to visit every morning during our stay!
I haven't been to Laurent for a long time but now it's the only decent place near my work. It's actually pretty good, the hazelnut brioche, cherry brioche and fruit mince tarts were all very yummy
Great food, but service is a little slow with higher than average prices that is suitable for location. Great place to chill and relax
I haven’t been to this place physically but have been ordering via U eats. Their lovely food and quick service made me write this review. It’s that very good tasty bakes they make. Highly recommend to try them out, Love it! Thank you!
Saw a rating of 3.8 and was hesitant to go. But nothing too bad about this cafe and nice French bakery. The only thing it's expensive.
Beautifully crafted coffee made by Leonidas. Shop is amazing and food was great. Its all about the smell and the taste.
Beautiful upmarket bakery in a stunning location in Wellington parade on Yara Park. There is plenty of comfortable seating inside and out with toilets available for the mobility impaired. Try their delicious almond croissants, certainly worth a visit for.
Lovely place to sit down visit or drop in for a Take Away coffee or baked delight.
NOT VEGAN/VEGETARIAN OR MUSLIM FRIENDLY!
I came to this place last I think in 2017, my work had us stay in a hotel close-by. I made sure to specify I was a vegan and ordered toast with avocado and jam. At first I thought something was weird when my Avon toast tasted weird. But I almost threw up when I tasted it with jam and I could feel the bacon grease on it. WORST PART was that they refused to give me a refund.
I realize that this person who threw my toast on the same grill as where they cook bacon might have left, but It’s incidents like these that make me never want to go back and write about my experience. This is UNACCEPTABLE! Especially in Melbourne that has such a strong vegan/veg presence. You are killing off your business by not properly training your staff.
