Laurent Bakery East Melbourne reviews
47Had some coffee there and bought different types of bread and croissants. Perfect vibe and awesome food. Trying to go back there at least once a week.
Baguette was extremely stale, it was otherwise nice but for $15.90 that is unacceptable.
Not keen on doing that again to be honest.
Staff are nice coffee was ok.
Decent bakery with lots of bread, lunch and patisserie options. Prices could be more transparent online and outside the store as it's a little bit on the pricy side.
Laurent never fails to deliver regardless of the location you're at.
They have a nice range of breads, sandwiches, hot food, beverages and most importantly cakes!
What always draws my attention is their range of cakes. They never disappoint and I've had quite a number of them.
Service is always impeccable and everything is clean and well presented.
It's a great place for a meeting spot for coffee, to grab a quick lunch, to have some afternoon tea or even to grab some cakes home to share with the family.
A high quality chain. Great coffee, really nice patisserie, quiches and sandwiches. A bit pricey, for a everyday jaunt, but a great weekend treat, or when you are outside of France and looking for a fougasse.
These guys do the yummiest pastries and huge selection of both savoury & sweet. So lucky I popped by it one night, now I go whenever I walk past!
A pleasure always to visit with welcoming and efficient staff. So good to be able to sit and enjoy my coffee.
Day light robbery. $8.75 for a mini palm sized pecan tart. I was shook! Friendly welcoming staff.
I ordered macaroons and eclairs through deliveroo and they were amazing. Delivery time wasn't too long and the taste was fantastic, as always!
Best mocha and coffee here. Toasted escago taste delicious too. They are my favorite and always have them on the weekend.
The cake display here is always so colourful and inviting, it's a hard time choosing! The Strawberry Tart is exceptional, with the most delicate shortcrust pastry I've had from a commercial bakery. Really outstanding.
Cakes were good and sweet.
Always busy.but kind staff.
Proper pack for a take away.
Always had a pleasant experience at this Laurent, staff are always patient and willing to help. Purchased a delicious chocolate almond cake for a friends birthday and it went down a treat
I love to visit Laurent Patisseries as you know what you are going to be getting. The East Melbourne location is a nice quieter location to visit. I love any of the selection sandwich baguettes, individual quiches and savoury tarts, you can really taste the quality butter they use. Choosing a Parisian sweet to go with your tea is hard! I usually just get a macaron - the pistachio butter cream is always a good choice. The tea selection is good.
Good locations and variety of food, and use here often. But I find it this place is bit over priced. Eat in and take away have different prices.
GREAT COFFEE / CAKE / LUNCH SPOT
Laurent Bakery is a high quality cafe specialising in cakes, coffee, light meals. This branch is not as busy as the central city one so is a better option at peak times. Good service and plenty of tables.
Warm atmosphere and a nice selection of baguettes, sweets and savory bakery items. The service wasn't that great and we were barely spoken to during our time there. Prices were a bit too high in my opinion.
Everthing pretty good except why oh why do they have to microwave a perfectly delicious pie and thus ruin the pastry
Laurent isn't really my favourite but the staff here deserve an extra star for their service and willingness to please. Love the fact you can buy rustic olive bread and take it home. Prices are ok, quality is ok. I used to go often as it was convenient. I think Hard Pressed's coffee down the road is much better though.
