Terrible customer service, manager treated horribly me and my friends, the food doesn't justify the service.

Cosy restaurant that serves fantastic Mexican food. Quality tacos with fresh seasonal ingredients, they make their own corn tortillas!

A wide range of drinks to choose from makes this place a weekend must!

Tacos Tuesday, $12 for any 3 tacos on menu.

On recommendation we decided to eat here. I am totally glad we did.we are still talking about our meal we enjoyed here.
We arrived early and were promptly seated.this place is like a maze.very deceiving from the road.but we loved the look!
Totally enjoyed my classic margarita with the salt
We were in a world of confusion on what to eat so we made an executive decision and decided on the "Just feed me" menu option and were NOT disappointed.
The flavours were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed this mexicana fiesta!
The service was friendly and attentive and we asked alot of questions regarding the menu and they were more than happy to oblige.
Would I recommend this place. Hell to the Yes!

So I went here on a recommendation. There was an issue with our booking but they sorted it out relatively quickly. We were seated and then kind of ignored for a bit. Restaurant didn't seem that busy but maybe it was out the front. Anyway we ordered and most of our meal came out pretty quick. Food was tasty, if not a little small. I was there for taco Tuesday though so the price was right. Beers were on special too, so all good. But they forgot an item, I asked for it, they delivered it, but no apology. I don't want to be George Costanza looking for an apology but we had a booking mix-up, questionable service and then no, "hey sorry about that. " when they forgot a menu item. If they'd have come back out I would have ordered more tacos. But they didn't, maybe they were busy? Except as we walked out and paid I'd reckon they were somewhere between half and 3/4 full.

Rant over I guess. I've only ever heard good things about this place so I'll probably give it another crack, but this visit fell short of my expectations.

I LOVE la tortillaria! I'm from the south west in the states and this is the closest I've come to authentic Mexican food here in Australia. Hands down best carne asada. It's very affordable affordable.my boyfriend and I usually get 4 tacos and maybe chillaquilles or a tostada and we're set. Of course the tortillas are outstanding. The cachete tacos are a must as well as the seafood tostada. The staff is super friendly as well!

The carne asada and al pastor tacos tasted pretty authentic. The horchata was good as well. The fish taco didn't taste fresh so I really don't recommend that. The taco meat isn't cooked fresh, the batch of meat is sitting on the grill and assembled once ordered. I have to admit that it is the closest thing to "authentic" Mexican I've had in Melbourne but the food is definitely over priced. $6 for a small taco you can get on a tank truck in LA for $1. Only come here if you are like really really desperate.

It was not great. Definetly not the best Mexican i have tried IMO. Host girl wasn't friendly at all a bit sour actually, a waiter seemed annoyed and would not speak but tlone waitress was OK. Food in general is not bad but for the price could definitely be larger and tastier. Those are my negative 2 stars: service and food quality/price.

Really enjoyed it. Only holding back a star as I think the menu could have a bit more choice, although I don't go in for all that veggie stuff, so maybe that's just me. Food I did eat was great however.

Great authentic Mexican food, tacos are awesome and I really loved the michelada, highly recommended for people wanting to experience the real mexican food.

Lovely little intimate tiered Mexican place. Feels very authentic and homey. The food came out quick and whilst the portions were a little small, it's reasonably priced.

The guac was far too expensive, $9.50 for a teensy little bowl, however it had lovely flavours and just a little texture.

I would recommend the Volcancito de Asada from the Tostada menu, the crispy tortilla base and plenty of beef meant each mouthful was cheesy and crispy and delicious.

I will definitely come back, but I won't expect to go home with a full belly for any less than $35 pp

Delicious Mexican food. Don’t go there if you’re thinking of fancy fusion non-authentic food, but definitely visit them for flavourful, honest, authentic and simple Mexican food. Everything on the menu is gluten free and they cater for vegans as well, so perfect for those dietaries. Drinks are also very good and they even have non-alcoholic aguas frescas if you’re not feeling like having alcohol. I’ll definitely be coming back and telling everyone about it!

Food is nice but not amazing, and given the price, would expect something more. The service could definitely be better.

The best taco in Melbourne! Their sangria is pretty awesome as well. Ambiance and setting is especially amazing on warm days, where you can sit outside enjoying the weather. Staff is smart and friendly.

Wow. This place honestly blew me away. Had nothing bad to say about the food, it was packed full of flavour and freshness, has a cute and cozy athmosphere. Will be coming back here for sure, have found my new favourite Mexican place!

Unresponsive, incompetent and rude staff. Tried to make a reservation over the phone and once the hostess was helpless, the manager took my call and she was even worse. She was unfriendly, unprofessional and could barely speak English. It is very disappointing because I have heard good comments about the food but with that attitude not even the most delicious taco worth it.

Great food and service. I was a being very frustrating and rude customer. They treated me the same way I would treat an annoying and rude customer, made me feel so good would 100% recommend. The only thing that I didn't like was the volume of the music.

The place gets busy very early and some customers were adviced to order take away. Great Tacos Tuesday where 3 x Tacos @ AUD12 and Mexican beer @ AUD5. Food tasted slightly better than average.
