It was ok. I ordered the chitpole burrito.
Nothing special, very basic, would have preferred Guzman. Was just ok. Had greater expectations but I also could have made better at home

GOOD SCRAN:
Very very tasty tacos, dense yummy burrito. I mean DENSE. Ordered takeaway and it came out in less than 10 minutes, very fresh and a good amount of flavour.
If they sold birria they would do numbers.

Had a fun vibe and the server was nice. The food was a bit hit and miss. Would not recommend the seafood platter, not a lot of (sea) food for the price. All of the tacos were great, the churros were perfect and they had a nice selection of cocktails.

The food here is decent but the waitress has a terrible attitude which really isn't the Latin spirit of this cuisine.

Apart from the service that was a little slow maybe because of a packed house, the food and the overall experience was great.

Came here on Saturday for a friend's birthday brunch! The food was very average, and the customer service was awful. They would not allow us to accommodate for some of us who do not drink and treated us poorly when asked.
The portion sizes were not worth the price, and drinks were very slow to come out. I would not be coming back at all.
I was also overcharged and called the restaurant over 5 times over a few days to speak to the manager, who staff kept telling me would call back, but that had NEVER happened.
Overall, I do not recommend this place at all and would say it's best to stay away.

Ordered myself a vegetarian meal last night for dinner with the last of my pay check. I just wanted a nice dinner after a long hard week. What got delivered was a completely different order which was all meat, I called your restaurant to solve the issue - horrible customer service, this young man was rude eventually after persuasion he checked with the others for confirmation on my order yet had the decency whilst doing that to start saying unprofessional words to his other employees about me whilst I was still on the phone obviously assuming I couldn’t hear him. I basically got told that there was nothing that they could do and that if I want my refund back I have to sort it out myself? Yet there wasn’t any option to do so via app because apparently my meal had already been delivered to me. You guys could of just done it over your computer…and fixed the mistake you made. I did not eat dinner nor get my refund back,
Disgusting behaviour and customer service.

La Cabra is the perfect example of how even if the food is good (and it was a solid 7.5/10 here), the service makes all the difference. We booked in a 90 min session for bottomless brunch from 1230 - 2pm. The initial waitress (Angie) was lovely throughout but we had a server (i think her name was Kate) come over and tell us that they only offer bottomless brunch til 130pm regardless of the CONFIRMATION EMAIL i had gotten and that its our fault for not checking the website (why would it be our fault if we booked a bottomless online and it literally told us that our booking was from 1230-2pm? !). She was incredibly rude and because we were trying to be nice we didnt tell her off. We tried explaining things to her calmly but she was clearly too arrogant and full of herself to understand.
Thanks Angie for trying to save the day and for being so lovely, but Kate (or whatever her name is) should be fired. She made the entire La Cabra franchise look BAD

Amazing hospitality! Great service, great food- especially the Churros! They are to die for! A night we will remember! The music and vibe of this place was one in a million! We will be back again for sure! (Third time back already!)

Great Mexican food and good prices - including lunch specials and taco night. Inside seating and a large outdoor area at the rear. Fast and friendly service. Opposite the Rivoli cinema.

Fantastic food! My kids love the calamari and the 'we found nemo' burrito is always a hit. Big shout out to the management and team for their attentiveness and kindness.

La Cabra Mexican was a great night out. Plenty of specials depending on what day you visit. We had the shared meat platter and it was the perfect amount of food for two. Would highly recommend it for quality Mexican.

La Cabra is our work team's go to for a lunch as it has long tables (and small tables) for all the team to sit and enjoy outside or inside dining. The food is good and great value. The service is quick and the cocktails delicious. I love La Cabra!

Favorite food place in Melbourne. I was there one day, then decided to go the day after because of so good it was. So yeah we had most of the tacos, the chicken burrito, the beef quesadillas and the beef fajitas and it was - OMG - the best food I ve had in a while! So just yeah, go for it cause it s 100% worth it! 5 3 #SangriaSundays

Beautiful interior with great comfy booths. Though for me the burrito had a lot more rice that I would have liked, the presentation was nice and the food was good. The restaurant is very casual and fun. Must go!

So around 4 maybe 5 ish pm yesterday September 10,2022. My partner and I came in to order food, we started off with our starters which took nearly 16 minutes, not to mention we were the only ones in the restaurant that had order. Then a girl with blond hair customer service wasn’t sincere at all and I had to keep getting out of my table to make a request, mind you when I approached the area where the drinks are she was kneeling down on her phone via Facebook, I also forgot to mention that the our table was dirty when we wipe with a napkin and there was hair every where and we had to ask her to clean the table for us. #filthy

As the food came normally waiters ask is everyone ok on this table moments later but that didn’t happen, and our drinks were also warm as well. Oh yea I also forgot to mention when she gave us hot sauces half of the bottles were nearly empty and sticky.

For such a reputable area this is not the type of experience you’d expect to be greeted with but hey thanks for the false advertisement.

We were lucky enough to make our first visit to La Cabra Mexican this evening. What a wonderful experience. The food was awesome. A+

And most importantly we were hosted by Faith. The nicest person you could ever imagine being hosted by. She was so welcoming, friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu and all importantly - so down to earth!

You are so lucky to have Faith as part of your team. Thanks so much.

Absolutely amazing customer service all the time, the waitress are so good that I didn't expect it. I wish I can give 7. The cocktails are next level and the food is so delicious and tasty. I believe that high standard is not easy to keep going so full respect to all staff. The environment is cozy and definitely with touch of Mexican vibes. Highly recommended to visit it!

Would definitely recommend going here on Taco Tuesdays where all tacos are $5! My favourites are the prawn tacos as well as the fish ones but you really can’t go wrong with any of them.

They also have a $69pp bottomless brunch on the weekends which is always a blast. You can choose either a meat or vego set menu which are both very delicious. For the drinks, there’s a variety to choose from such as beer & wine to sangria and mojito jugs.

They also have quite a nice seating area out the back which is better for larger groups.

Had been dying to try this place for ages and met a friend there for dinner. My friend, being a coeliac is always a bit hesitant to try new restaurants, but La Cabra had GF options and she checked and let them know she was coeliac when she ordered.
The food came and it was delicious, my friend was immediately cautious as it seemed too good to be GF, so she waved over the waiter and double checked. She was assured it was definitely GF.
It clearly was not. My friend has her usual typical gluten reaction and has been unwell all week.
Great place to eat if you have no serious allergies.
