Köy Restaurant reviews
53I've been for long missions in Turkey and this place just bring me back there, the fresh gozleme are amazing
Great cocktails, delicious food, pet friendly and great customer service. The haloumi with orange is mesmerising.
A fan. Felt like I was back in Cappadocia as far as the taste of the food was concerned. Well cooked, well presented and friendly service. Maybe a little chaotic when it's busy, that's how I remember Turkey anyway, chaotic but a great experience. The Gözleme Station on the premises only takes cash, there are ATMs nearby.
Lovely little Turkish shop with great güzleme
Can recommend the spinach cheese one it’s amazing! Also being able to watch them being made while in line is a great bonus
Perfect little place at Sth Melbourne market. I have been to Turkey on holiday and this place brought me right back there. Thank you for a nice breakfast
Below average turkish food, customer service was ok besides the fact that the guy said 'sorry for the cockroach, I think it came from the kitchen'. As if saying it came from the kitchen was any reassurance.
Best Set Menu for the price you pay, Apple Pie was delicious.the staff was very friendly and the manager was very helpful with the dietary requirements.every dish was explained to make sure its vegan for my friends.loved it.will be back.
Each dish surprises you with a striking flavour you're not accustomed to. I've tried a few things I don't normally like, but I loved them here. One of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne.
Fantastic food, warm service and lovely vibe. We tried the mezze, pickles, mixed grill, kofta and grilled whiting - all superb! Great that they have Effes pilsen on the menu, on of my favorite beers. I would have prefered a more traditional baclava, but the chocolate one was still very nice, and went well with the traditional Turkish coffee. Will definitely go again!
Atmosphere-cosy. Food- no complain. Service-didn't like one of the waitresses there who kept on eyeing on my bread! We had to pay extra for another serving of bread offered to us which we thought was included in the meal (They should've told us!) But what annoyed me most was when she kept on coming back few times to take my bread away! I kept telling her that I am not done yet but she was still not happy until she cleans my table. Don't rush me! Also they made a mistake in the bill. They fixed it and later returned us the money after we went back to them and showed the bill. Not sure would go again.
Amazing food - the kitchen clearly know what they are doing the quality was great!
$35 for a banquet is an absolute steal but for the amount of food you are actually served I would have preferred to pay $45 or even $50 for bigger portions. It was more a tasting experience than a banquet leaving my date and I satisfied but certainly not full (and we are not big eaters).
We felt the restaurant was very quick to push people out by the time it was 9: 30pm using odd tactics like no mood music and turning on the aircon to make it chilly inside. Also, my date and I noticed it took us approx an hour and 45min hours to get all of our plates, but a table that arrived an hour or so after us were finishing their 2nd last plate as we were finishing our whole experience.
A regular breakfast stop, always great, delicious food, friendly staff, service with a smile, value for money.
Absolutely delicious. Service and food was excellent. Was especially enamoured by the salads (which were surprisingly substantial). Would go back again!
