Kota Charcoal Chicken

This place used to have the best.but sadly not these days. Meat was not really charcoal cooked and as we purchased near to closing time, it wasn't particularly hot. Not seasoned and super delicious like it used to be. Really disappointed. ;- (

First time customer. Very surprised, really delicious, large, very moist Charcoal spit roasted chicken. We bought a Family Dinner Pack which is a large roast chicken, a very large Chips and a large salad. Chips were freshly made for our order with a tasty spiced salt sprinkle, as was the Greek salad I chose. They made the salad up fresh whilst I waited as they'd run out. The shop itself is nothing special to look at inside, typical Fish and Chip Shop type setup, but food is clearly displayed in the Bain Maries and prices are clearly displayed. It looks like they usually have in house dining on a few tables, but with Corona Virus this has been halted. Only thing we didn't really like was the dressing on the Greek Salad. Not much dressing, I think a only very little vegetable oil and vinegar. Too dry. Really needs Extra Virgin Olive Oil included in the dressing. Good value, fresh, local food. We'll be back!

Been ordering from here for awhile now and the best HSP in the area, (trust me I’ve tried a lot of shops looking for a decent HSP) good amount of sauce and tasty meat, it’s real lamb not the processed doner kebabs. The only thing that stopped me giving it a 5 star was the lack of chips they give for the large $20 (uber eats)
Will defiantly be a repeat customer but hopefully they be a bit more generous with the chips!

Since it has changed to new owner, the portions have dropped and taste is gone slightly downhill. Overall still good quality food, but disappointed in the smaller sizes and higher prices

I went to them to get a take away and while they preparing my food I asked them can I use your bathroom, next level answer was that it's only for those people who come to dine in.for couple of seconds I was got quite and then I said I will give you extra money and said no I don't want extra money and during this argument another lady came ahead and said ok you can use bathroom.

1.you think your self as a customer what star rating I should give you as a customer?
2.should you go to that place again if it happens to you?

Now here is the reason for 5 star review.there was still so many toilet rolls in your bathroom during toilet rolls crisis

Ordered an open souvlaki for $25. So much value for the meal. A full plat with a salad, chips, meat and pita bread

Chicken, chips and salads are yummy. The prices are abit high. But I do recommend it and service was great.

Came here for a chicken souvlaki and was happywith what I received. Soft pita bread and seasoned chicken.

Best chicken and chips in the Melbourne suburbs hands down. Chips always perfect with a dusting of paprika and chicken moist with flavour and good quality chicken used.

Very tasty food, friendly atmosphere and good prices. Charcoal chicken was cooked perfectly and the chips were not greasy

Still good souvas looks like they've changed hands recently so jury is out with how good they stay.

Ordered 3 HSPs, a souvlaki, large chips and a drink through Uber. I received 1 HSP. Called them up and the person I was speaking to said they did not scroll through the order properly and missed most of the order. Then said to come pick it up. That's not how Uber works.

Used to be the best. Management must have changed. Rude staff that do not know how to use an EFTPOS machine and what a scallop is.

I recommend the "Kota Special". It is absolutely mouthwatering! An absolute delight dining here!

We ordered Uber Eats and we were really impressed with the taste of all ordered dishes.

Do not go to this place the greek lady that served me is very very rude she might be the boss and the place is very pricey and they dont put a decent amount of chips or meat and also they charge $3 for any sauce especially gravy when it should be free

Put cheese in traditional Kota and when I questioned after seeing cheese at the top got an explanation that it’s just some fell on it. Apparently there is more inside. The cutlery is full of water mark and when I turn to the plastic ones. They are worse. Small flies died in the holder. Seriously?

Worst place ever i visited.very unprofessional staff they don't know what they doing.i waited for 25 min for falafel wrap.still walk with chips.
