Wonderful local chicken shop with great service. Delicious roast chicken and chips, will definitely be back!

Just sat down for a quick 1/4 chicken and chips during lunch. The chicken is perfect and chips are crispy. It's super hot and a huge portion.

This place has changed management. Nice people but im sorry, Chinese people have no business making lamb gyros, the main reason I visit. Underwhelming now and overpriced.

We keep coming back here for their grilled chicken burgers – they are generous in size, packed full of flavour and you get quite a lot in them. The chips are also crisp and crunchy and you get a big portion for the price. Super valuable, great quality food and always leaves us feeling full:) Yum!

New owners have absolutely destroyed the place. Doesn't even look like it's open, lights off, paperwork flung around the place like it's their private office. Wouldn't have cared if the food was decent but it wasn't! Stay away.

Have been coming here for years for the absolutely elite souvlaki and chips! I always get the Kota special souvlaki, which is definitely the best souvlaki I've had. The chips are also always perfectly cooked (firm outside and fluffy inside) with a really tasty seasoning. Always great service from the very friendly staff too

Working on the area and stumbled across this place
looks can be deceiving here,
little bit run down but the food is amazing,
lamb souvlaki is tender with a really nice pita bread.
Chips are well seasoned and cooked perfectly.
Owners are quite nice and polite.definitely give this place a go.

I ordered Giros and chips through uber and despite my delivery being left at my door without even knocking on my door to let me know my order arrived which resulted in cold food, the portions of meat resembled something out of communist Russia with the measly small portion not fit for a toddler let alone an adult. The chips were over cooked and greasy with way too much MSG chicken salt to bring on a heart attack. I called to complain to the owner but he wasn't interested and rude. Chinese people are great cooks but leave the souvlaki and giros to the generosity of the Greeks. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE with rip off prices and tiny portion

Great chicken and lamb was the best I've had in ages. Friendly helpful staff. I recommend you give these guys a try.

Since it has changed to new owner, the portions have dropped and taste is gone slightly downhill. Overall still good quality food, but disappointed in the smaller sizes and higher prices

Edit/Update:
Since my review a year ago. I decided to revisit the restaurant.
The quality has further decreased with respect to the HSP specifically.
They downgraded their chip quality and quantity.
The quantity of meat provided barely covers the top and the chips are now quite bland despite the sauce.

Soggy, wet, cold and flavourless chips. Called to let them know politely just so they were aware (In the hope it wouldn’t happen to the next customer). They made a bunch of excuses and not once did they apologise… so not only is the food horrible but the service is even worse. Genuinely disgusted! Food went straight in the bin unfortunately.

Always reliable. The chicken skin is perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious, the chips are nice and they always give me extra salt. I keep going back and have always come away smiling.

This is a hidden gem. An unassuming little chicken shop that looks like any other, but is above average for sure. I regularly get souvlaki from here, they do very nice lamb gyros. Chips are fresh and well seasoned, and their charcoal chicken is excellent. Service is always friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit.

What do you mean I walked inside and asked for a chicken roll they looked at me like what's this guy on about.then they took 15-20 mins to make it a chicken roll. What happened to this place a few years ago it used to be good.

With the original owners, I would definitely give it 5/5. However, ever since the owners changed, it has gone downhill. Mind you, their offerrings are still somewhat decent, with the chips being as excellent and plentiful as they always were. However, certain items such as the salads are really not what they once were.

Nevertheless, Kota is still a place I visit occasionally.
