Khan Curry Hut Indian Restaurant reviews
83Overall food is to much cold and very bad taste that’s the worse meal of my life and it’s feel like dirty smell from it I hardly take 2 spoon
Probably the oldest and longest running Indian place in G-town (since ~2005) - and for a good reason. You really can’t look past their lunch special - with a “Thali” containing 3 different dishes and rice + drink all for $11.
Highly recommend to dine in if possible.
Best Indian food ever! The owners always look after us, will definitely keep coming back, highly recommend!:)
Weird atmosphere. Some staff can be a bit abrupt. Service is pretty slow too. Don't expect drinks before your meals. And the food is ok I guess.
We ordered 2 curries and asked to make it spicy. Wasn't so spicy and one of the Penner curries tastes like a pickle, another one was nice. For the price food is way too good. Will definitely try another curries.
Not the best Indian food but the best value in the market. Good atmosphere, good Decor, nice table setup and service. First time I walked in, I feel like this is a high-end Indian restaurant. I expect to pay at least $21 for Butter Chicken and $5 for Naan, but they were just $14.5 for the curry and $2 for Naan (are you joking me?). With this price, I don't expect too much for food quality. However, the food turned up not bad, we were happy with all food that we ordered. I have had top class Indian food in Sydney before and I can say Khan Curry Hut was doing a fine job, even better than many Indian in Melbourne. Order the food for full table for 4 adults with drinks but check-out only $65 (No Joke!)
The most awful Indian food i can imagine. Really simple tastes, meat dishes not much meat but sauce that tastes jar-like. Saffron rice that was more rice than saffron. Anyone who thinks this food is good Indian should try elsewhere for comparison.
1) Dal makhni 1*
2) Service 1*
3) Waiting Time for food 1*
4) Rogan Josh 5*
They preferred to deliver for online order during the evening rather show any care about their shop customers. Overall 1*
Nice size portions and prices, sometimes a wait but usually very good service and range of meals
Their food is a tiny portion compared to other Indian restaurants in Geelong. We ordered beef and chicken, Biryani and Rogan josh. C see only a few pieces of meat or chicken in the biryani. Taste is also below average and not the restaurant-quality we can expect. I couldn't taste any fragrance at all.
One star is for the one and only lady who assisted us also every customer out there.
Food was very good, the butter chicken is incredibly sweet if thats what you're into. Overall great quality.
The butter chicken I'd my absolute favourite. No one makes it this yummy! Prices are fine and the owners/staff are lovely.
Food was really delicious, quantity of food was very less specially in the curries, they offered me onion salad it was spicy and tasted delicious
Yummmyyy food and fantastic service and lovely place to be at! Highly recommend <3 also catered vegetarian to be vegan food which was wonderful thank youuu forgot to take pictures of the rest of the food because hungry ahahha
We have been impressed with the food in the past, but was not up to scratch this time out. Chicken and beef very fatty.
I ordered butter chicken and lamb korma. Meat in both the curries were undercooked. When I called the restaurant, I was being told rudely by the owner that “You are the first one to complain about our food” and he also said “I ate the lamb korma myself and it was perfect. ” He wasn’t sorry at all about his service.
Our experiences with takeaway food, other than fish and chips and pizza, are not good, but I take my hat off to Khan Curry Hut. Their Indian transports brilliantly, and we could not sense any variation from what we got in house. Khan was friendly, even under the close-down stress, and they were just great to do business with.
I went to your restaurant on Wednesday on the afternoon of Eid though I left hungry coz of rude behaviour of your staff.
I was seated at 12: 32 and was kept waiting nearly 10 minutes before someone thought to come and take my order.
There were 2 woman stood at the counter.
After I was finally able to order my meal I then was left waiting until 1pm and still hadn't received it and my 30 minute lunch break should have been over.
During my time in this establishment thus far, a man had come in, been seated, ordered and served his meal just behind me and I was still waiting.
I went to the counter to politely ask that my meal be put in a takeaway because they have taken too long, and the woman who I had asked this of was unbelievably foul mouthed and extremely rude and eventually told me that I had to wait until my meal was served at the table and that I put it in takeaway containers myself. Coz of covid 19. Though my food was not even served? Really? I asked that’s fine you can serve it on table.
Where in 2nd lady on counter came to my seat to help me out and apologised to me. But I was in tears already by then and thought to leave.about the 1st woman does not belong in the hospitality industry at all.
I was so insulted and intimidated by the attitude and behaviour of the staff here, that I left the restaurant in tears. I always loved being at khan curry hut but your some staff members are absolutely horrible to deal with and need to be re-educated when it comes to their jobs as they provide no hospitality whatsoever.
If they don't improve, they should be fired. The food is not good enough to make up for the absolute rudeness and complete disrespect you will receive from the waitresses.
I tried chilli chicken, fried rice and pista kulfi everything was delicious my friends tried manchuria and mughlai daal everything was delicious. Will recommend you for sure
Good experience at this place!
Authentic Indian food with fresh ingredients and competitive prices compared to similar restaurant in area. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you.
