Kawa Sake Sushi Boat reviews
63Waited an hour for a meal of lukewarm sushi rice and tuna so smothered in sickly sweet sauce I couldn't taste the fish. Used to be quite good but now permanently off the dinner list.
Delicious food, good presentation, lovely sake drinks, price is decent.service was good. Would come again!
The food is very good value for money and the staff were very friendly. Hard with the covid restrictions so only got takeaway but looking forward to going when it's open again. Highly recommended
Food was alright, but they didn't let me receive it on the floating boats which is the whole reason we came to visit the place.
One of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to in a long time! Have eaten in and had takeaway and is always a pleasure.
I’m not sure if it was just the night we went, but the draw card of the sushi boats was a big disappointment. I think we saw a total of six dishes come out on them, despite a full bar. However, the quality of the food more than made up for it! Everything was of very high quality and so delicious. The sashimi was like butter! You do pay for it though, a bit more expensive than the typical sushi train. They also seemed understaffed. We waited a good 20 minutes before receiving our drinks and first dishes.
We would definitely come again, but just get a table instead.
Charming place, I keep going back there every time I feel like having Japanese food. Love the takoyaki and the ebi udon. The atmosphere is really great, the decor is on point the sushi boat is cool and whimsical. Will definitely keep going back.
Really nice Japanese food, Seaweed salad was to die for, so was the Gyoza, all food was nice, cosy little place.
Amazing food.little on the pricey side if you're like me and have a bottomless pit for exceptionally good Japanese food but well worth every dollar.
Great service.amazing food.cute atmosphere.
Highly recommended!
Very friendly staff the young man Dan seems aloof at first but he is actually nice once you are a repeat customer. The other staff are fantastic 5/5 and now when I go I know what dishes to have without nuts
Awesome to watch the sushi magician weave and roll his magic from our front boat seats. Delicious feast.
Really good food and great service but the sushi boats were not running which was disappointing
Visited Sunday evening. The boat wasn't running, it was a nice place though and the food was good.
Quirky and quaint, food was good and the staff friendly. Book ahead if you want to sit at the sushi boat bar.
Looks like a nice place, and staff were nice. However think I made poor choices. The tempura wasn't like normal light tempura batter, instead it was thick, yellow and tasted like traditional fish batter and was very oily. Gyozo were good.
I eat here every week and always have great service, happy staff
Amazing food with a great price tag, the interior is really cool and so is the sushi boat
We eat for under $50 for two all the time
Highly recommend
This place ROCKS! Lots of delicious little Japanese snacks form marinated skewed meats to octopus balls to tempura prawns! You can literally have a veritable feast and walk out full as a boot! Fair prices and always great service! DO IT!
The quality of the food is surprisingly good, and priced like a more upmarket Japanese restaurant. It's really the decor that doesn't quite match up. And can probably be best described as "Yarraville chic"?
Food is pretty good (when it arrives), but the service is appalling. Be prepared to give your order over and over again, and don't expect to get everything you ordered. I'd go somewhere else in a heartbeat, but my kids like the little wooden boats which carry the sushi around. With the rate of change in Yarraville, I'm staggered that this place has survived. Maybe it's the retro-kitsch differentiation?
