Kaprica reviews
75Fantastic meal and service. Awesome food! Well worth a visit. Be sure to book to avoid disappointment. There is a lovely courtyard out the side too.
What makes Kaprica so good? It's the feeling of walking into your Italian uncle's living room. It's the genuine hospitality of the staff and the delicious subtleties of their food. Me and wife don't get a chance to do much of date nights but this was perfect. My only wish was if we could have come in a bit earlier to try other dish.
Thank you for consistently fresh and soft gnocchi with classic tomato sauce and the mushroom pizza. And thank you for such great hospitality, we really enjoy dining in here:)
Loved their gnocchi and pizza! They were sooooo good. The gnocchi was tender, not soggy. The flavor was there, just loved it.

This quaint little restaurant on Grattan St will haunt my dreams for the foreseeable future.
The sweet aromas and delightful tastes did not disappoint me even with family up playing the restaurant significantly.
I had the lamb ragoo with pappadelle and a garlic pizza. The slow roasted garlic pizza was the best I've ever had and the ragoo was absolutely delicious too.
The chilli oil they offer is a must try also.
Hands down the best Italian dishes I have had in Melbourne. I hear you mutter "that's a big call" and it is but I will make it lol. From the crisp white table cloths fluttering I the breeze to the bright red geraniums potted in aged barrels this place has a romantic air to it. Food and wine delicious. We will be coming again
The wine tasted like food, the gnocchi tasted like soup and the desserts tasted aggressive. A spectacular guilty power lunch. If I could of given six stars I would of.
Absolute stalwart of my uni days. Exceptional coffee and pizza. Probably one of the best pizzas in Melbourne!
A staple — and fit for any occasion, crowd or night of the week. No fussiness here, just solid pizza, incredible pasta (try the gnocchi!) and the crisp radicchio salad is hard to beat!
Atmosphere always on point, all walks of life who the food is hard to beat. A favourite for a decade now, hopefully for decades to come!
Amazing food and service, it was such a nice evening and an excellent way to celebrate the easing of restrictions in Melbourne.
Smoked salmon Pizza is a highlight on their menu. Don't knock it until you try it!
Bonus: add some chilli oil on top
Waiter said “lucky you’re not Chinese” when he placed the bill on our table. I told him as we left that it was completely inappropriate for him to say that. He then said “Well actually, in Chinese culture…” and I stopped him and asked him if he was explaining Chinese culture to me. He kept pressing it and then eventually said “I’m sorry you took it that way”. I told him that it wasn’t my fault that I was offended that he said “lucky you’re not Chinese”. Very disappointed that the comment was made and a classic example of casual racism in Australia. I gave him ample opportunity to apologise, instead he tried to explain my own culture to me and then eventually gave me a half arsed apology that took no ownership of any wrongdoing and instead implied I was being irrational.
10/10. My table got three pastas and three pizzas. They were all absolutely DELICIOUS. Definitely recommend the mushroom pizza and prosciutto pizza, and the gnocchi.
Amazing food! Great staff! I had the gnocchi and my mum had the spaghetti with meatballs, and we shared the lemon tart.so yum! Highly recommend eating here. Dim lighting, don't know how the chefs see to cook, but they somehow manage to make delicious meals. Food came out super quickly, but we were there at 5.00pm, and the only ones there. Started getting much busier when we finished.
Well done team - excellent food & quality.
Our only feedback is that your waiting team could have been more attentive (we were sat out in your courtyard and were a bit forgotten).
Great atmosphere and authenticity. Pasta was amazing, perfectly cooked and sauces we rich, tasty and generous. Pizza was also tasty with great thin base. Will be a regular Italian stop for me
Great atmosphere and service, don't expect food to match. Pizza base was soggy and limp, and the dough was not cooked through. Gnocchi was undercooked - when eating one could detect the taste of raw potato, dreadful. Cashier wouldn't split bill even though it was done on prior visits.
Oh I liked this place. Great food and such a cool low-key chilled vibe. Could have stayed there from dusk to dawn, eating, drinking & chatting with mates.
Defo recommend
Place is very humble, nothing fancy but their pizza is fantastic! Thin dough baked perfectly and delicious, always coming back for their mushroom pizza and pasta. Definitely one of the best Italian pizza in Melbourne
Been to Kaprica 3 times now and I have to say every time they have really hit the spot. Their new location is even more relaxing! Tables on the sides, and couches with lowered tables in the center, next to book cases. Looked like the kind of spot to have a wonderfully long and deep conversation with close friends. Gnocchi is quite possibly the best in Melbourne. They are so light and sauce is bursting with fresh flavor
