Kaprica reviews
75Lamb Ragu was sensational, with a refined Italian menu with handmade pizzas to complement a venue you could spend hours in.
I had my birthday here recently and had THE MOST AMAZING TIME! I could not recommend this more. I had 14 guests there and they all had such a great time. The servers were lovely, the drinks were delicious and the food was to die for. Don’t hesitate to book your dinner or lunch here. Was 10/10
Beautiful food, took a while for the waiters to come around for us to order and they weren't busy.
I visited at 6: 30pm on a Friday night with a friend. We had a booking. When we arrived it wasn't very busy but it soon filled up. Our order was taken quickly and the food came out quickly. I had the Mr John pizza and my friend had the spaghetti vongole. The food was nice, our only complaint is that there was no guide on how spicy it would be. Both dishes ended up spicier than we had expected from precious experience with those dishes. I also think the service could have been a bit more attentive, as they didn't stop by very often and it was a bit hard to get their attention. The location and atmosphere was great.
Decided to go out on Monday public holiday and they were so busy. Lucky we got a table inside within 15 mins.we had to wait for quite a bit for our food but it was worth it. ️
Last time I was here was 3 years ago! Went there last night for a dinner with few friends and still blew my mind!
Everything was super tasty! My favourite are the chilli prawn and the meatball pasta.
Will definitely come back for those two:)
Been coming here for years! For the pizzas or pasta! Better for you to share, at least you could try couple of things on their menu. Better to call to reserve a table, as they could get quite busy.
Amazing food as always, I haven't been here since before covid and when they were in the other location. The only thing I could recommend is not having such loud pumping techno music. Not everyone enjoys techno whilst having dinner and it's difficult to talk to people when the music is so loud.
Went here on a date night as we passed through Melbourne. We were incredibly hungry and a bit irritated and was looking forward to good food. We got the prosciutto pizza and Ragu pasta and it was the best pizza and pasta I have had with many restaurants in Italy included. Great cocktail (amaretto sour) and such a nice atmosphere. We sat outside and it was a lot nicer than inside which was a bit loud but had a great feel to it no matter. Overall downs approx $80 between two people. Definitely recommend
Kaprica used to be one of those hole-in-the-wall type of joint but they had since upgraded (they even had printed menu - instead of a handwritten one like they used to have!). Their prices have of course increased, which was to be expected especially given the upgrade; however the quality of their food remained the same. We went there for dinner and grabbed a potato pizza and a lamb shoulder ragu papardelle with a side of green leaves/radicchio/orange salad. The potato pizza was unique; thin, crispy base and extra carbs was always good but it was also paired well with fragrant rosemary and sweet caramelised onions - though the onions were a bit sparse. The pasta was delicious; although there was very little sauce and lamb pieces. For dessert was the chocolate nemesis cake that was sinfully rich and chocolatey served with crème fraiche that lightened the richness. The new venue was modern-ish, with a casual vibe. Service was friendly and prompt.
Been twice now both times it was really good. The vibe inside is nice and cosy. Vongole pasta was superb. Tried the gnocchi too as everyone raves about it and it delivered, tasty and light. Mushroom pizza was our favourite but honestly they were all great! Definitely recommend this place!
Ok, my first time dining at Kaprica with a friend.
Based on reviews I took a punt and I was disappointed and I definitely won’t be back.
We had the antipasti plate to start proceedings and it was ok, no bread included or offered to accompany the antipasti, i had to request for it.
Then the tagliatelle ragu was tasty, but the pasta was overcooked.
We had pizza, and that was nothing special or compares to the benchmark of what I consider great pizza at Italian Artisans in Middle Park or DOC as they are the real deal.
I had dessert which was nice, but then to my shock and surprise my espresso was served and made on Bialetti Stovetop.
Seriously guys, Bialetti stovetop is for tje home not a restaurant, what are the owners thinking?
Please invest in a La Marzocco espresso machine, I’m sure you have the cash, don’t be tight and peasant like.
Great pizza and range of flavours. Fast and attentive service. I do think the pizza is not topped very generously for $28 for mostly classic flavours; some slices were so sparse it was like eating a plain cheese pizza. The pastry is excellent quality and the decor is well done.
PS the toilets were absolutely rancid with no toilet roll on the holder, a wet toilet roll and a sink built on top of the toilet. There’s also no indicator if the toilet is engaged or not
Went there for my daughter's 30th birthday excellent friendly staff good venue and.most.of all the food was great the UK
Love the pizzas here. Preferred it when it was at its original location and i wish they’d bring back the Leek Pizza!
We went for a birthday dinner on our holiday. The staff where absolutely fantastic and food was amazing. I would give them 10 stars if possible. The gnocci is to die for.
Food (spaghetti vongole and garlic pizzetta) was great, though limited options. Serving size was maybe on the small side. Customer service was great. Being out in the courtyard was warm enough and not too loud. Mistakenly charged two drinks to our table but this was easily rectified upon payment.
Lovely place with good food. I heard of this place from a friend, and the pizzas and pastas really lived up to the billing. The starters were disappointing though, the garlic bread was even a little burnt.
The duck ragu pasta was brilliant. The pizzas were delicious when they came out hot, but very quickly got soggy. Not sure how they could have worked on that without comprimising taste.
The service was really quick, and the staff was friendly as well.
Overall great service, although one if the girls who was taking the order did struggle a little with the garlic allergy situation. There was a guys who was super friendly and helpful with he heater situation outside. The food was delicious and we'll presented. Highly recommend to the community.
Modern Italian cuisine. Very nice pizza with a limited pasta menu (also very nice). The service is variable.
Hey guys! Incredibly delicious. We are in love with the taste and freshness of the food. We would like to revisit next time we are in Melbourne. I wish you guys have a shop in Sydney right next to my house.: D
Try the potato pizza if you like this sort of stuff. The best.
Salmone also pretty delicious.
