Kaniva Midway Motel

This was the perfect one night stop while travelling from Melbourne to Adelaide.room was a reasonable size and very clean. Right from the get go Christina was very friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed and wanted, we decided to have dinner in the restaurant there, Christiana said she's not a cook or a chef but she cooks with love! The fried rice and honey lemon chicken came out quickly and was absolutely delicious, she then came and checked on us making sure we where happy with what he had been given, I had already finished my bowl of fried rice so Christina brought out a whole extra serve, just happy we were loving our meal, along with dessert which was a Portuguese tarts and some lovely fresh grapes. And this was all at an amazing price of only $12. This was the perfect icing on the cake to the end of our holiday. Would 100 percent recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed here while travelling Mel->Adelaide over Christmas. Perfect for a quick overnight stay, very friendly owner, grateful for flexible check in time as we were delayed on the way. Loved that we could bring our dog. Will definitely be back.

This place was a great stop between Melbourne and Adelaide. The motel is clean and fine, but on its own is nothing special, what made our overnight stay so good was the manager, Kristina, who truly is a gem and goes out of her way to make sure you are happy! She took the time to ensure we had the best room for us, made my child feel so welcome, gave us good local recommendations and then there’s the breakfast! Kristina offers a cooked breakfast option, and I highly recommend this for a very affordable price. The big breakfast will satisfy you if you have a huge appetite! I wasn’t sure what to expect from Kaniva, but was very happy with the choice. Thanks for the hospitality!

Kristina the manager is the best. She said she would anything she could to make my stay as enjoyable as possible which she most certainly did. She offered to cook dinner and then breakfast for me and they were both the most beautiful meals I have ever had. I have stayed at a number of 5 start hotels in my time and the whole experience provided by her was by far the best I have ever had.

We had a lovely stay as a stopover on the way to Melbourne. Our accommodation was fine, but it was the manager that made our stay fantastic. She was so friendly, considerate and helpful. We were blown away by the size and quality of our cooked breakfast. We will definitely be back!

Lovely country motel with five star service and breakfast. Comfortable motel room, great water pressure. Manager Kristina is a gem and really appreciated her hospitality and cooked breakfast. Manager Christina was really friendly and helpful when we called to make a late night Booking. On Arrival we were welcomed with a bright cheerful smile and a quite happy Lady Manager who welcomed us as we came to the office. Christina Also made mention about breakfast that is offered at the Motel, but as we were quite tired from travelling in pouring rain we slept in, but By her words the Breakfast sounds great. So next time we will definitely try her Brekkie. So From Lynn and Noel Thanks Christina We Definitely will Be Back.

The Midway motel at Kaniva is my “go to”place to stay when travelling in the area. And it has been for near on 20 years. The rooms are clean, and my sleep is always good! Highly recommended!

Aircon/heater didn't work in our room.

We booked at short notice for medical reasons and our host could have not been more understanding and helpful. The room was very comfortable with lots of extras including p Netflix and a microwave. We had the best night’s sleep!

I arrived reasonably late and was welcomed by the manager. Bed was great and had everything I needed. Breaky the next day was absolutely amazing and was worth more than $12. This is country hospitality at its best. City hospitality could take a leaf out of midways book. Thanks again.

Warm, friendly, comfortable and welcoming. Chris went out of her way to make our stay the best it could possibly be. She not only arranged a late check-in, she also shared some food with us. She was wonderful with our overactive toddler and made a delicious breakfast for a very reasonable price.
The rooms are clean and comfortable with wifi and air conditioning. There's tv and DVD, a small fridge and microwave.
It's in the heart of Kaniva and walking distance to local facilities.
It's a great spot for a stopover halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne.
We stopped there on the way from Adelaide to the Victorian snow fields.

Our stay was amazing for so many reasons and the main one was our hostess and concierge Chris. She was kind, accommodating, and truly made us feel welcomed when we were very fatigued. The room was very very well priced and was spacious with comfortable beds and all the trimmings that made our rest from a very long drive so restorative. My partner and I could not recommend this business any more highly. If you are looking for accommodation in the area Kaniva Midway Motel is definitely the place to go!

I've never had a such a lovely warm welcome from a motel manager and reiterate every other kind thing that has been said about Chris here. Yes the room was dated - although key areas had been upgraded and I slept fine - was toasty warm and did not hear a thing.
