John Fawkner Private Hospital

Great service. Very efficient on Pathology testing. Only waited for three people before me. Pathologist was super friendly and patient. Bus stops right out side which is very convenient. Can be difficult to get a parking spot. Best to park in side streets opposite if driving. Make sure you observe council parking signs. Disability access ramp and lift to second floor. Bulk billing. Beautiful view from the small waiting room of the city skyline. Older style building

I went to John Fawkner for my neck surgery and had worst experience of my life in ICU by the evening staff, there was an asian male nurse called Kevin who was so rude and no compassion shouldnt even be working there. My machine had been beeping for a long time and no one came to check on me and when he did he goes oh your oxygen level is low so put the mask on me and took my blood and pressed my needle on my hand so hard three time that i had blood everywhere and says to me "why is your heart beating so fast" and just a few second this Indian female nurse comes and says we are moving you to CCU and then i was put in this room where after the initial intro no one came to see me unless i pressed the button, The Indian female nurse in CCU was another story. In the morning I told the nurse i will be talking to someone regarding my treatment and after my complaint I was treated so nicely I was in shock lol Its been over 2 months i have put a complaint regarding this and was told it will go to upper management and they will get back to me still havent heard nothing. Whenever I think of my experience at John Fawkner ICU and CCU I still get emotional and gives me nightmares.

Nurses there are all fabulous. Very attentive and always with a smile. Thank you for looking after my dear friend.

GP sent me to their emergency dept to see an orthopedic surgeon due to a broken finger. Am charged $320 wait 2.5 hours to be told the Dr is in surgery and that they could give me a refund. I paid via eftpos but apparently I will receive a refund check in the mail. Surely when the nurse took my GP's referral letter and I told her that I was there to see an orthopedic surgeon she could have seen he was not available.

Went in for routine gastroscopy/colonoscopy. Was very impressed with the efficiency of all the staff – admin, nursing, doctors. Staff were very kind and kept a good eye on you. The atmosphere was calm, friendly and professional. Everything went like clockwork. The hospital is easy to access by car without having to negotiate difficult roads.

The care this hospital gave my mother was fantastic. Our family will always be appreciative of the care they gave.

I have been there twice in the last couple of weeks through the emergency department.
This hospital is amazing.
The staff, from the receptionist when you first walk in, to when you are leaving, are so caring and wonderful
I could not fault anything. Even the food is great.
