John Fawkner Private Hospital reviews
69Dr Raju demonstrates complete contempt for his patients time. Unable to adhere to appointment times. An hour late everytime.
Recently admitted for laparoscopic cholecystectomy, worsts experience I have ever had in private hospital. Waited 6 hours for my surgery. Which I did a 12 hours fasting instead of 6.
Ask for a private room but got a shared room.
Asked 3 rotating nurses for an earplug finally got one at 2am!
The worst is! That the shower only have cold water. I mention it the nurse he then told me the hot water will kick in one hour time, this is at 7: 30am.
Thank god for my doctor, happy my gallbladder is removed But I will never select this public (lol) hospital again nor will I refer it.
Thank you to All staff, professional, efficient and caring in day surgery ward. I liked the no fuss as once u come out of theatre it was an easy transition to get home.
Pain. I went to emergency with a broken arm. Stayed 5 days in agony. The nurses kept saying that 2 Endone was excessive analgesia. On discharge I went straight to Epworth Private and received adequate pain meds and care. John Falkner was negligent. Thank god for the Epworth
ED department were fantastic,
Want to commend new training nurse who has been in Australia for 3 months
WEN in ED who was so helpful
CHERRY in ED also so considerate,
THEY are all beautiful
They all deserve medals equally.

I attended the ED with my wife who had suffered a bad chainsaw cut to her hand, after first seeking help in a public hospital where the ED and its triage seemed to be in a dysfunctional state.
Access, reception and triage were excellent both from a time and competence standpoint and the ensuing evaluation and 3 hr operation were, in my opinion, of the highest standard.
This is definitely a well-run hospital staffed by the very best.
Firstly they hung up on me 3 times
Not enough explanation about the matter
Inexperience staff
The above were from a phone call conversations with I-MED Radiology, by the way I’m not talking about the doctors and nurses of the hospital just to be fair and clear
The nursing staff here are absolute gems. I had day surgery and was a little anxious about it, the nurses at John Fawkner went above and beyond to make me feel confortable and at ease. Really appreciated it!
Service i found in this hospital was far below average, for a private hospitals their service has only gotten worse over the years, it just made me sicker, so sorry not again.actually score should be 0/0
The nurses and doctors are some of the most remarkable and kind people we have ever dealt with. Made my whole family feel safe and explained the whole surgery process to me. Although it was a very stressful time we had all the information we needed and everyone explained everything to us from start to finish. Thank you!
No sense of urgency at emergency department. Nurse assistant was very unhelpful, was left waiting for 15 minutes with no directions. In the end, elected to go to another ED
Firstly, there is no doubt about the Surgeons & Doctors in this place. The attention to detail of getting my Heart rhythm back into place was a real priority for them. After several hours in emergency, I was taken up to Critical Care for 14 days where the nurses are just amazing. Each & everyone of them are incredible. This was during lockdown where no visitors are allowed, & yet, not once did I ever feel lonely or neglected. The nurses were always popping in to say hello & see how I was coping. It is the nurses who really take care of you & get you back to health under the direction of course by the doctors & surgeons. I can't thank them enough & really do believe that we should all get vaccinated not only to save ourselves, but to save the precious lives of our medical people. Without them a lot of us wouldn't be here.
Thank you XXX
Nurses where awesome and so attentive to all my needs. My recovery was so much easier thanks to the team they had looking after me.
Very nice hospital and extremely caring staff they well explained everything to me before proceeding for my surgery about the exepenses my bupa would cover and also of the out of pocket that would inoccur

To the nurses, doctors and all the staff. Thank you for your wonderful care and attention. I could not fault anyone. All so kind and attentive.
I just spent 2 days in JFH after having a spinal fusion. From my surgeon Dr Michael Wong to the staff of the hospital they were all absolutely amazing. The professionalism and care was second to none. Particularly a male nurse I had in ICU named Angelo. He was such a beautiful person. The care he provided to me was phenomenal. Facilities and rooms were immaculate. I was in West1 Bed 15. Thank you all so very much for such a pleasurable stay.
Just checking out of the John Falkner. Big thanks to all the staff, Doctors, nurses, orderlies and administration staff. Your care and and attention to my well-being was greatly appreciated. Fixed my issue and Going home in general health even better than I went it.
Useless. Couldn't put less effort into helping their patients $550 later and no difference. Had to go to another doctors to actually be treated. Thanks for nothing
Mr Cham is brilliant. Male nurse of Asian appearance "John" was the most professional medical staffer I have ever experienced.
