JB Hi-Fi

Came on a not so busy Sunday and had to wait 30 mins just to be served, sorry to say, but the staff here seem to be lost. Go to an alternative store if you're looking for some service.

Very poor customer service.
Bought here because of close proximity and bring local.
I've purchased a Surface Pro device and a ViVo mobile phone.
Each time I went I was sure of purchase and was asking to be served but the staff were ignoring me and my family as if we were untouchables and were there for window-shopping.
Had to run around the store asking anyone who looks like a staff just to be shown to go to a place where I had to fish another staff for help.
Very upsetting experience even when I expressed my intent of doing a high value purchase.
Will never go back again.

This is probably the worst JB I’ve been to in terms of staff. Being a local, I’ve been here numerous times and have bought a lot of items, most of which are just walk in, grab and purchase. My most recent visit was for a few TVs but the staff were not friendly at all nor helpful at all. Better yet after negotiations were being made for multiple TV’s they treated myself and family members like we were being watched after rejecting a purchase of one of the TV’s.

I suggest if you come to this JB to just grab purchase and leave. If not, there is a Good Guys with much friendlier and patient staff around the corner. Or visit any other JB Hifi in Australia.

Manager lied to us about the ‘Telstra system’ being down when we went in to sign up to a new phone plan, found out later that they just couldn’t be bothered, even though the store was dead.

Don’t waste your time at JB DFO Essendon, head to Airport West instead, extremely helpful and honest.

I went into this store to look at purchasing the iPhone 12 Pro. Though they had stock, the staff member told me that they are unable to to show me the colours so I had to purchase blind essentially. How can a store expect you to pay close to 2K and not allow you to see the colour before the purchase! He also told me I could go to Telstra to see the colours - if that's the case, then why would I go back to JB Hi-Fi to purchase it, if I'm at Telstra, I could buy it there as the prices are exactly the same! Very poor experience and not very great for their revenue!

I bought a new phone from the store thanks to Karl and his outstanding service.

I actually went to another store in airport west and left unhappily due to their service.

The wait was a bit long in Essenden which is totally understandable given the crazy demand. However Karl was able to turn the situation around and turn an unhappy customer to a happy buyer.

The whole process was seamless - he kept me in the loop with pricing, acknowledged customers around him and was very patient throughout the entire experience. His attitude definitely makes him standout compared to his peers.

Will highly recommend him and thanks again for a great service Karl (sorry if I spelt your name wrong!).

Great place, great deals, GREAT SERVICE.

No staff to assist waited 30 mins. I did noticed Sales staff where looking after apple customer first. Won't go back to them

Quite clutter-y. I was looking for a fridge and wanted some advice. Some stoner guy came out from back of house and wasn't helpful at all.

Really happy with JB. Firstly they gave me a great deal then they were quick to rectify an issue with the product. No hassles, just great service and that goes all the way from the managers to the dude organising re-delivery.

I want to purchase a canon e50 and asked the lady staff today to help me out. And she was like “you can hold it” back in my mind of course i can hold it. I was asking her to turn the camera on and she was like “we dont have any charger for any of the camera here”. How I am supposed to buy a $899 worth of camera if you’re going to say we dont have charger. She wasnt really helpful! Very disappointing. I would have bought it if she actually wanted to help me!

Was not impressed with the sales person felt he was too pushy on what we were looking for.so we went somewhere else to get what we wanted and $800 cheaper

Great service. I purchased a Navman GPS which after multiple repairs and exchange units I realised that Naveman products don't last more than 9 months. The staff replaced the unit with a Garmin (even though they didn't have to). Thanks Michale and the team at Essendon DFO. Regards John

Very very bad service, even I said to other staff to call store manager she try to avoid and walk away.

The Indian door guy, had no deodorant, like most jbs now, bloody disgusting, you people are sell outs, i will be buying on line now.

This place has everything you need ranging from tv's phones electronics and there range of dvds is incredible there is something for everyone the prices are reasonable the stsff are knowledgeable and friendly you will be greeted with a smile

Prices are ok, but I have found better elsewhere, especially with mobile phones. Get them to at least price match it, just ask any of the staff.

Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. On top of the great staff, there is no better place to walk around and just look at what's new.

One of the best JB HI FI stores. It has a wide selection of all that JB stores offer. The best thing about this store in particular is that it’s never busy. There seems to be a lot of staff vs customers which means your going to get great service and help on whatever you may need.

Seem to always have what you need due to low customers which is another reason I like it here. Loads of parking too
