I’m having a wonderful experience learning here. Course is well planned, my group is lots of fun. The teachers are also very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend learning here.

My experience to date has been nothing but exceptional. I’m 6 months into my course and the systematic approach and gradual step by step progression with the course has worked well for me. I feel challenged in class but not overwhelmed. The teachers are so lovely and so are my classmates. We have a regular study group catch up as well. In class I can ask any question in English and I have confidence in all the teachers ability to answer. I rarely feel confused or lost in class. We initially started online which I found very convenient and the process very smooth. We’re now back in the classrooms and it’s been great to finally see everyone in the same room. Wednesday is my favourite night of the week ️. Definitely the right place for me and I highly recommend to anyone wanting to lean Japanese in a professional, supportive atmosphere with great Japanese teachers and people.

Top tier tutors, make online learning very fun and engaging, all the teachers have great personality and they make sure everyone in the group is learning.

The teachers are attentive and always willing to take the time to answer any queries that I have. The small, online, class sizes also proves to be fun and interactive so you never feel left out or falling behind. The course material is also colourful and easy to understand.

8 months in the beginner course. I’ve learnt so much thank you to all the teachers. I can write/read all Hiragana/Katakana alphabets and speak basic Japanese. The structure of the course, weekly classes and homework has worked well for me. I struggled when I was younger at school and I sort of expected a similar experince but it has been much different. The teachers just make learning Japanese fun and I really love their bubbly enthusiasm. Can’t wait to visit the school next year and attend my classes with classmates in person.

All the sensei are lovely. Vaughan has also been very prompt and helpful with enrolment, communication and scheduling classes. The vibe from the trial class up until now (5 months) has been warm and enjoyable. Every class online is well taught and facilitated. The teachers are amazing! Professional, yet friendly and encouraging. All are native speakers and a pleasure to have as teachers. In less than 5 months I was able to read and write in Japanese.

My wife and I travel to Japan almost every year and always wanted to learn Japanese in a structured way so we could better communicate with the locals and go to more remote locations in Japan.

We started attending weekly classes in Nunawading Japanese School from Feb 2020 and now nine months into our journey of learning Japanese. We are very happy with the experience provided by the Professional teaching staff in Nunawading Japanese School.

Before attending the classes, we basically had zero background in Japanese language and we started learning from scratch. Fortunately, we have had very enthusiastic and responsible Japanese Sensei (s) which made our learning experience much easier.

The Sensei (s) could always come up with interesting class activities to generate heaps of speaking and practices in order to build a solid fundation before moving on to new topics. During the Covid-19 lockdown, the school quickly switched to delivering class via Zoom and a lot of online recordings were provided to the students by the Sensei (s). The pace of study is well controlled to make sure the students had a solid grip and confidence of the topics (grammar, vocabulary, etc.) that were covered before moving on to the new topics.

Overall, I would highly recommend Nunawading Japanese School to anyone who would like to learn Japanese while working or studying full time.

The courses have been one of the most fruitful and rewarding experiences in language study. I started off in February 2020 and every class is structured extremely well and efficient. Not only are the class content precise and clear, all the teachers are truly outstanding in their ability to understand the struggles of a language amateur - at the same time being interactive and fun. Their enthusiasm is the best I've seen among educators - you really have to experience it. Not only do we enjoy the lessons, the class group provided a great opporunity to socialise and share information among others.

In recent lockdown the sessions maintained very well and organised, it really is a joy to attend each class. Before lockdown I was travelling an hour to attend school and no doubt I'll still do it again. Even I have to pause for a period due to personal reasons, the manager is very prompt and encouraging, suggesting different ways to work things out.

Highly recommend to anyone who're interested in learning Japanese and love a great class.

I’ve be learning Japanese at this school for nearly 8 months now. I’d learnt a little on my own before but wanted to learn with others in a group format. After watching the school’s videos and how happy the students were, I decided to give them a try as well. I knew instantly that this was the place for me. Communication with the teachers is very comfortable and questions are always answered clearly. The course is challenging but in bite size components. Overtime I now see why the course and process is very effective for beginner students. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting students and the lovely teachers. What can I say! Having learnt online within different educational platforms, mostly very large classes at uni, the way Japanese Tutor Melbourne delivers their course content gradually In small group online classes is so good. They also provide supportive revision material each week (which is now corrected online and sent back). It’s just very well structured and I feel challenged yet not overwhelmed every week. They also encourage classes to connect and become study groups outside of class. I regularly meeting up (now online) with my classmates and we practice. The whole community feel is terrific. I’m always recommending this place to friends and family. I just can’t put into words how much enjoyment I’ve experienced since joining over a year ago.
