The Roman private bathing and massage was an outstanding experience. Exceptionally friendly staff and wonderful facilities. A perfect getaway.

I had a 50' Private Spa Bath & Lunch. The venue is well maintained, the staff very friendly. The environment is very relaxing, in the middle on nature. Great experience, although the prices are on the high end. Good for a special occasion.

We booked a 80 mins hot spring for three adults and one kid in a private bath; the bath was used by another couple prior so the bedsheet cover was a bit wet; other than that we enjoyed the hot spring and the relaxed family time.

Super great experience today. We purchased the 50min private bath+bento package. The bath is clean and warm, food was a bit salty but the service was good. Winnie the receptionist is kind and warm-hearted. Will recommend more friends to come here.

My husband and I had a date night at the Japanese retreat. I was very impressed with the attention to details throughout our whole experience. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the massage was amazing relaxing. We were thrilled to have a private outdoor bath just for us two. The dining experience was also very good. We have enjoyed every meal that was served. I can’t say anything bad about our experience at the Japanese retreat. Our experience was perfect! Will definitely come again. Keep up the wonderful service.

My Partner and I stayed overnight for our 2 Year Anniversary, and everything was more than amazing - we were really transported to a gorgeous little world for the little time we spent here.

The attention to detail and care that was put into the accomodation made us feel like royalty, and everything was just right to make it a beautiful and romantic evening. "Everything is complimentary" was all that was needed to be said to us when we arrived.

It wasn't cheap but I will spare the expense at least one night every year to come back to this oasis in the mountains with my partner.

Delightful haven. Perfect backdrop for an exceptional experience. We booked the Balinese retreat. Blissful massage, scrumptious dinner and brfst. Stunning dwelling with unique character design and furnishing, remarquably clean. A large expanse of manicured private gardens, brought to life at night with beautiful landscape lighting. A big thank you to those we met: Debbie, Alice, Waru, Asko, Maddy and the chef! For being all customer-focused and quality-driven. Your commitment to these objectives we found outstanding.

An exceptional experience. Stunning outdoor bath house followed by an amazing full body massage. The attention to detail here is amazing. We purchased the date night package. A 5 hour experience concluding with a delicious 6 course meal. Abs absolute must do!

I have been a total of 5 times now. The lunch, dinner, massage, bathing and the over night stay are an incredible experience. The staff are absolutely lovely I honestly can not fault this place. I recommend to all of my friends and family and they all absolutely love it and always have the best time! Staff always call you back, staff have always explained the experience clearly to me and when I am there they always make you feel so comfortable. I have also never had a better massage in my life! We did the date night experience - $1200 for a couple and we were expecting the world. The place is a complete scam. If you see a 5 star review in their reviews then it would definitely be fake. Take your money elsewhere as you will be severely disappointed.

Amazing place, amazing surroundings, best massage we have ever had, best Japanese food we have ever tasted, beyond exceptional service, we have decided to make this a regular thing. We felt all our stress just melt away from the moment we arrived. Missing this place already.

It’s genuinely a nice place to go, relaxing and enjoyable. The thing is, with the name “Japanese” it did make me felt baited and scammed.

The bath was Roman bath, massage was Thai massage. The dinner contained Japanese elements but just a general western fine dining. Nothing except a little bit of Japanese architecture. I didn’t’t see any Japanese attendant or not at least someone who spoke Japanese.

If you’re here looking for true “Japanese experience”, do not come. But if you’re here only to get relaxed, it’s still not bad.:)

Great experience. I booked a private outdoor bath, massage and four-course-lunch for my partners birthday. We arrived very early as we overestimated the time we were gonna arrive but the front reception made my partner and I comfortable by serving us complimentary sweets and tea. Service, scenery along with overall treatments was great overall although the four-course-lunch was not on par sadly. It was the only area that was lacking, taste was bland but at least it looked nice on photos otherwise I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a nice getaway, somewhere to fully relax and enjoy!

Heavily over-priced. It is not a 'mineral' spa; it smelt suspiciously of chlorine. Not a calming atmosphere. There was a large clump of long black hair in the spa (neither of us have long black hair). The spa wasn't ready at our appointment time and we had to wait 15 mins. Do not waste your time and money.

I was rushed from bathe to massage and not organised at all. Disappointing service as well with not enough employees working to assist me with my needs. Would not recommend with such a steep price.

We had an amazing experience at the Japanese Mountain Retreat. We had a day spa package which included a 50 minute private spa bath and a 50 minute massage. The staff were lovely, the massages were pretty good but we loved the private spa bath the best. It was so nice to be alone for 50 minutes just relaxing!
The only downside is that it is on the expensive side of things and the road to get there is kinda scary, but other then that everything else was pretty good

What a magical place. Proposed to my now fiancé here. Will always hold a special place to us now.

Date Night Outdoor Bath/Massage/Dining - Magic.

What a magical night. Whilst it's pricey, it's totally worth it for a luxury experience at this amazing place. I can't really fault it. If you're looking for a super romantic night out, definitely do this. Just don't make the mistake I did and rock up a little late, get there early ;)
