Island Pies reviews
53Haven't waited many years for a scallop pie since being in tasmania was worth the wait for freshly made pie! Fantastic taste and service also great by team members. Other items also worth a try. Worth the drive and great to have great pastries on the island. Cheers
Great pie shop. Always got the full menu available (I hate it when a shop is sold out of your fave pie) including scallops pies.
They have a range of sweet slices and cakes as well
We stop there to grab a pie travellor on our way back to Melbourne.
Our favorite shop. Did I mention friendly staff. Good pastries, top pies. Awesome pasties both meat and veg and veg only. Plenty of filling. Also a great range of filled sandwiches and rolls. Top milkshakes!
Great pies, favourite is the stockman.
Wide selection of savory and sweet baked goods. A must stop at location.
Had to try their scallop pie. Wasn't able to eat fresh so unsure how great the party was, but the filling was great with fresh scallops.
I have eaten lots of scallop pies in Tassie, this pie was lacking curry flavour, more mornay flavour. 4 scallops in pie and bits of carrot to represent roe. Pastry and size were nice, but bland.
Very busy when we went there a line from outside. Nice scallop pie and good ham/salad roll. Staff efficient. Could sit outside with our
BEST BAKERY ON THE BASS COAST! Can’t leave the Island without stopping in for lunch. Keep up the great quality Island Pies!
We tried beef & curry, Thai chicken, scallop, beef & onion, all good
Price is affordable too.
Well done and keep it up!
Pie crust and base beautifully crisp and flaky.went here as a treat as dieting doesnt recommend pies! The filling though in both of our pies was not as flavoursome as we've had before. Maybe cos they've been closed for renovations and they need to ramp up production? But still good overall.support local
Popular local spot; great bread and fresh veges in their salad buns
the scallop pie were very generous and had 4 (?) scallops; they were flaky and baked well
Other than one grumpy team member who served us all other staff where nice bacon and egg roll yum pie great and sweet treat take away was good I would visit this place again I just hope the team member is nicer and not have Phillip island attitude
Great place to pick up all your pies, pasties or sausage rolls. The cakes are so good you can go back for 2nds. The staff a friendly and polite.
Customer service was amazing.it's a perfect break stop. I ordered couple of pie it's pretty good. I ordered 2 steak and peppers, 1plain and 1 chunky beef. The drinks was pretty good as well especially the ice latte.
Was too early for me to eat the scallop pie the 1st time I went, but the other 3 did! I had the bacon egg burger and it was the best, freshest and tastiest I'd had. 2nd time just yesterday I had the scallop pie! Omg! Was worth it! Definately a stop in everytime I go to the Island.
Don’t Forget to visit this place when you enter Phillip island. They’re food here is amazing and so is their drinks. I would highly recommend this place if you are hungry and passing through!
Scallop pie was very unappetising full of thick yellow past and four scallops. Will not return.
After driving into Victoria I realised the so few places available as your driving outside of Melbourne.apart from petrol stations or cafes chock o block with nothing to do semi retired people is hard for the worker to get a feed.
Stopped here as I went over the bridge in desperation and wasn't disappointed.
Had the bacon and egg roll and of course a pie, mushroom.
The famous scallop pie was nearly 10 bucks so I couldn't risk it for my hunger level.
Both were great. Glad I stopped. Coffee good too.
Chocolate donuts excellent and a very inviting cake pastry selection.
Staff experience, quick, friendly.
Lovely food and coffee served quickly
Very busy but people did not have to wait too long to be served
Nice little bakery to stop and enjoy coffee/pie/cake. Unfortunately the barista got our coffee order incorrect and was unnecessarily rude and disrespectful about having to correct the order. It wasn't actually a big issue but the response was unprofessional. Besides this, would highly recommend stopping and enjoying.
