Irish Murphys

Super disappointed with my last visit, my burger was raw, they ran out of wedges. I complained to the staff they didn't really care, complained through their website over a week ago before writing a review. Their chips were nice but I paid about $23 to eat some chips because my burger was so raw, and they weren't that good.: (Feel like I wasted my money.

The older I get the more I enjoy this place.
Nice venue with the ability to drink on the iconic Sturt Street. Food is decent and the beer tastes great!

We arrived at this venue very early in the evening without a booking and they happily accommodated us. So thank you. It seems everybody in Ballarat were out on the town to make up for lost time ha ha

Came with some friends on a Friday night and what a hoot. We laughed, drank, ate and more laughing. Met some other friends later and turned out to be a great night. Staff were flat out keeping up with orders but they did a great job. Managed to keep up with our ongoing orders of drinks.

Very good food. Even for a pub tea. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Only drawback was it was a little cold in the restaurant, even though it had been warm all day.
Just make sure you bring a jumper and enjoy your meal! ß

The staple tap beers, Guiness and Kilkenny, are always cold and fresh.

Do yourself a favour and order the ISP (Irish Snack Pack). The obscure yet genius idea of ladling Irish lamb stew onto fresh, thick cut chips results in a comfort food so decadent it is to die for.

Friendly and helpful staff, good seating density.

One star deducted for the inconsistency of the bangers and mash between visits. It was incredible the first time I ordered it but dry and overcooked on another visit.

Over all a pub that I'm more than happy to visit again and again. Don't bother going to any other Irish pub in the area, the beers will simply not be nearly as fresh.

Excellent meals (Especially the Lamb Shanks) fast and friendly service.

Decided to dine here based on the great reviews and we were not disappointed. Perfectly poured pint of Kilkenny, and great lunch menu, the Irish Stew was dammmmm good, you gotta try it, and the Greek salad with calamari was spot on. Your can’t go wrong here. Peace.

After recently moving to ballarat, while exploring the town I decided to stop at Irish Murphy's for a Beveridge due to the heat wave we were currently in. Since then it has became the number one spot on my list. The staff have been super accommodating freindly and have even gone that extra mile letting me bring my service dog inside the premises a big tick, you will find a lot of Irish patrons more than freindly always ready for a good chat and laugh. Kareoke night will not dissapoint every Tuesday, and if u do enjoy a guiness or to the staff and patrons make you feel more than welcome. There is also an added bonus the food is great with some traditional Irish meals. Make sure to put this spot on your list.

Nice portion sizes and the meal arrived within 15 minutes after ordering. Thank you. We will return.

Absolutely horrible service
Paid for an pint of cider and a pint of soft drink, paid $20. We came here for dinner and wanted to order steak but was informed they ran out of steak on a Saturday night. I asked if we could receive an refund for the drinks we have no drank from but management refused and said we're not an steak house and it was out of their control. Absolutely no apology what so ever.

Worst experience I’ve had in years. Ordered food and after an hour and 20 minutes went up and ask what was happening. Apparently our order hadn’t been processed. Offered us (2) a round of drinks. But food would need to be reordered and wait again. Not happy

No doubt this was the worst meal i have had in Ballarat. When i went to order got asked what table we were on, we were the only people in the pub. That should have been warning enough. Ordered 4 meals the 2 steaks were cold when they finally got to the table. Complained so they microwaved them!

Correctly poured Guiness. Nice and cold. Great meals. Very friendly staff and welcoming pub. Had great music when we were there as well.
Good whiskey collection as well.

We arrived at 8.30 for a meal, the kitchen closes at 9 pm.
By the time we got our order in it was 8.45pm.
We justhappened to sit near the kitchen, the noise and banging coming out of the kitchen was disturbing.
The cook was not happy.
By the time we got our meals it was just after 9pm.
The meals were not good, sloppy burgger and the Sheppard pie was all meat and velittle mash potato.

Had the best suprise 30th for my brother in law here. Staff were amazing and the rooms are stunning.

Top notch food and drink. Brilliant staff and atmosphere. Best parmo I ever had in Aus compared to uk standard it was amazing.

Staff and beer were very good, but the lamb shanks were dry, and missing the promised vegetables and bread. Guinness pie was very nice, but again, should have included more than just mash and peas.

Fantastic Guinees Pie. The Bangers & Mash was also excellent. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed a pint of Guiness and a pint of Kilkenny. The atmosphere was very good.well worth a visit when your in Ballarat.its even better when they have live music
