Irish Murphys reviews
66This place is always good for a meal, have been a number of times now and have not been disappointed.
Brought my parents for lunch. Standard pub food menu with a good selection of beer on tap. Got to love the Guinness. Love the art decor and the whole quaint feeling of the pub.
Ceaser salad comes with No anchovies, bacon, dressing and NO EGG! Not advised that they have run out of eggs at time of order. Meal came out with lettuce, croutons and cheese. Offered entree as substitute yet 30 mins later not even started. DO
NOT RECOMEND!
Food was great and came quickly. Good range of beers. Good service. Trivia night was heaps fun.
Food and vibe here are unique to the area. Check out the pie, it is amazing! Staff is super friendly and there is always space to dine in or a casual drink.
I went there as part of a group. My wife and I were seated away from the group which defeated the purpose of the evening out. We found the service fairly good but the food was far too salty. As a chef myself I do use salt in cooking but this was way more than I would use.
I have never tasted such horrible Irish stew in my life. It was far too salty, and as it was probably slow cooked it was just a sloppy mess.
I told the bloke I was there for dinner, was seated and ordered a drink then told I am not allowed to eat there. I understand there are density rules but sort it out. At least letting me have the drink on the house would have been decent customer service.
Really unimpressed. My best friend was organising to have her daughters birthday there, and sent an email to them, regarding the booking.
The email was ignored. Her mum went into try to organise the party, the person looking after the booking was unavailable, repeatedly.
My best friend went in to sort out the booking, and because the email had been completely ignored, she lost the date for her daughters party. This is really really poor form for a business.
Very disappointing. Had the Irish stew. Not a vegetable in sight. Meat & gravy that was it, & really salty. Not even a slice of bread. Won’t go back. 1pm on Friday (yesterday). Not busy, only 2 other tables dining. Now I know why. Score 1/10.
It was a cold night, the venue was a little empty, but I had the best Irish stew I had tasted in some time.
Such a shame this place disappointed.
Called ahead and booked for 8, was seated, drinks ordered.
Waited 20 mins got drinks, magners on tap (only highlight).
Asked to order food, waitress in tears, run off. Bartender came over to tell us that the kitchen wasn't taking any more orders for the day. Poor waitress was too scared to deliver the news. Perhaps the kitchen staff could have told us instead of watching on from the kitchen
Pub was freezing too.
It was a shame they were out of the lamb shanks, the stew and the steak so it was a bit disappointing.
Food serves were huge, table service a little slow but they were super busy. Our waitress was doing the best job possible.
Drinks and food are good. Live music was VERY loud! Couldn't hold a conversation without difficulty hearing your mate!
Great meal and great service. Don't forget to book ahead on the weekends and best to give them a call as their booking system isn't fully integrated.
Nice place, but the beer prices after hours are not acceptable, if they were lower I'm sure they would be more inviting not just too the wealthy
Good looking pub unfortunately we were to late for the lunch service but the staff were friendly enough. Would like to go back to visit.
Went there on a Tuesday night just to have a drink and see the place. We ended up singing Karaoke, meeting people and having lots of fun!
