Install a Veranda

We just had our verandah installed and are very happy with the final result! Every single person that we dealt with was extremely lovely and knowledgeable. Neelam was great with the council, Dion was incredible with his fast installation and all of the girls in the office were helpful and kind! However, similar to many of the reviews I think there is a systemic failure in process within the business which made it difficult to know what was happening, how long it was taking and what the cost might be. There were many incentives to sign up on the day, which we did - not fully knowing how many other things could pop up (additional permit costs, changes to structure, fire safety requirements) with no room to move out of the contract. Originally it was a 3-4 month timeline but ultimately it was 10 months. Not once were we told there were delays or hold ups, or communicated to around changing timelines. Understandably I'm sure a lot had to do with council, but it was extremely frustrating having no communication as to where we were in the process. I am happy with the final result, but would recommend LOTS of research into what you need before signing up so you're not surprised!

Very happy with our new carport. Install a veranda handled all the planning and building permit issues and Paul and Jay did a great installation job.
They were very friendly and helpful, solved the couple of technical issues that cropped up and cleaned up after themselves.

It's not a fast process - took just under 5 months from accepting the quote to the verandah being installed - but I'm really happy with it. The service was very professional throughout.

Excellent installation and great quality workmanship by Cliff, very happy with the veranda.

Initial communication was good till they wanted the order. First there was delay because somehow Stratco was unable to supply. Then they cannot find people to install. That followed by not installing as per the council requirement and installer leaving cables on the roof on a way that electrician has to spend hours to get those cables inside roof. After many months we were informed that it needs to be cut down to reduce the size to get the permit. Site manager comes on site and decides there is a way around by installing cement sheets. No call back for weeks. After following for many weeks, again trades manager is booked. To our surprise trades manager doesn't come up on the day of booking. On following up, we are informed that due to urgency at another site trades manager decided to remove our booking and we are not even informed. Now we are still negotiating when we have a Christmas party to plan. This whole saga has taken more than 1 year so far. Very disappointed with everything so far.

No communication I had to ring council we have been going back and forth for 11 months they changed the delivery and installation date didn't tell us we have asked for our money back 8 times and no comment. Would not recommend this company and I really don't want my veranda done now.

This mob is great to build what you want, but then use inexperienced blokes to install the verandah!
I have the main beam that dips that much water over flows from the gutter and doesn’t even exit through the down pipe!
Been waiting for a warranty repair, came out put more screws in were they were missing and put our job in the too hard basket ripped off!

Our experience with Install a Veranda was excellent, we were kept updated throughout the whole process from start to finish. Council approval plans were provided and everything else was provided.

Ordered and payed more than 50% deposit for a veranda in February this year and had nothing but the run around! First you had no steel then a levy then permits then no permit now back to a permit issue with the council. And why am I have to constantly chase your company for information? Very disappointed in service and that no one can tell me when it will be completed.

Nice work install a veranda you managed AGAIN! To mess up you now left my verandah 6! Houses away from where it should be oh did I mention on a main road good luck it being there in the morning ABSOLUTELY USELESS!

To be honest I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The administration staff were very professional and reliable. The process of getting plans and permits approved was seamless. Both the installers Clinton and Adam were efficient, reliable and fantastic. They were eager to please and went out their way to ensure we were happy customers. I have nothing but praise and positive feedback for this organisation. The finished product looks absolutely terrific.

We had a large veranda installed a few weeks ago and it was such an easy process from start to finish. From the amazing rep that came out and quoted, to the great admin team and installers, we were well looked after the whole way through.
Everything was done for us and we didn't have to worry about anything except signing off the plans and paying the bill which was really appreciated as we are a busy working family.

I wanted to replace my veranda with a new Stratco veranda, and got a quote with Install a Veranda before Christmas. Anna, the lady who provided the quotes, was very professional, and showed me a range of options that were within my budget.

As they were so busy - after Covid, and pre Christmas - and we had to wait for local council approvals, it was not installed until April. However, they always updated me with any news about the council delay, and were quick to answer my telephone queries.

On the day of the installation, the tradesman Paul Strangio arrived on time and was very polite. He summarised the work he would do, efficiently did it, and left no debris.

I showed my family and friends his work, and my son and son-in-law who are both fussy tradesmen commented the work done was accurate, professional and excellent quality workmanship.

Unfortunately, there was heavy rain a week after the installation and there was a leak at the corner under the eaves. I called head office, and emailed them photographs. They assured it would be looked in to within 2 business days. The next day Paul called me to arrange an appointment to assess and fix the leak - there was no charge as it was covered under the warranty.
After 2 more visits by Paul, he solved the problem when he discovered there was a roof fault- that had nothing to do with faulty workmanship. Even though the issue was not his doing, he went the extra mile climb on my roof, find where the overflow was coming from, then blocked it.
After the last heavy rains, it is no longer leaking.

We have had our verandah for around 8 years. We are not construction experts, but now when we have had other tradespeople do work on other areas, their feedback is that the structure should have had more brackets on the guttering, the roof is not level and the structure does not have strength in the main beams! So, make sure you have an expert or someone with knowledge to check the verandah out when it's completed, wish we knew.

We had a veranda installed by Install a Veranda last month. Considering what we were going through with Covid and restrictions, they were on time with the permit and the installation as promised. The veranda looks amazing and has transformed our backyard into a place we love to use.   I would like to say a special thank-you to Brett who did the actual installation. He was punctual, friendly and professional in his approach. You could see he was very proud of the work he completed which reflects on the rest of the team at Install a Veranda. Thank you to the whole team.

Had a good experience with install a veranda, from Chris sales man, Paul who site measured but mostly got really lucky with our two installers Ed and Ronny, handle everything with care polite and respectable at our home even played with our dog and just a good quality outcome.
Would recommend them and definitely push for a cooldeck bey bey hot weather.
