Indian Star

Absolutely love the food there! So good I went there twice in a fortnight. First a table of 2, and then a table of 6. On both occasion the food were well presented, authentic and delicious. The staff went out the way to try please us despite the restaurant being busy on both occasions. It's quite an achievement to be busy given the drop in people going to restaurants in Melbourne recently - its a testimony of the quality of the place. The dishes were reasonably priced and good value. Will go back again!

Great food at a reasonable price, however its better if the waitress can explain to me further about the food such as how it taste and what its like, since i’m new to Indian food, when I was here i just can pick the food base on the menu

Amazing food and amazing service! They accommodated our large, unreserved group of 20 at the end of the night and fed us all until we couldn't eat any more. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

Absolutely wonderful. I've been here several times before and will always come back. The chef was happy to swap a dish for another in the banquet I ordered. The service from the waitresses was exceptional. Thank you and I will return! 5 stars!

We love Indian food but when we want the best we make the trip to Indian Star in Moonee Ponds for the exceptional quality, taste, service and comfortable authentic decor.

Have been there first time and disappointed.
Biryani doesn’t tastes like biryani its more like fried rice and its little sweet
Naans are good but the the lamb rogan josh this is the worst lamb rojan josh I have ever had no flavours in it the only flavour it had was onion.
Better go to aangan way better than this.

Great food, great service. We rocked up unannounced with 20 people and they didn't bat an eyelid and fed us too we were very full!

Perfect place to dine with your loved ones plus the food is so delicious. The owner of the restaurant is so humble and the staff is so friendly. Surely coming back to dine in.

Had a great experience at Indian Star. The food was excellent. Shanu and his staff were warm and welcoming, and would definitely go back! If you want great Indian. India Star is the place to go!

Ordered garlic naan bread which never arrived. Tried to blame the Uber driver but the bag was tied in a knot. Called the shop straight away and was told nothing could be done unless we ordered again. Not good enough.

We were a party of 30 and must say great night out!
Ordered the set menu B with samosa chat as an additional side! Great food loved the service and speed at which the food cane out. Restaurant was packed by the way!

The place has nice ambiance.
The food was very blend. The food lacked flavour. We ordered Butter Chicken, Roganjosh and kadhai Chicken. Do not recommend. If you are going to spend over $100 there are better places around.

Best dal makhani (Daal Maharani) i have eaten so far in Melbourne. Food quality and quality worth the price. Indian Star definitely got some Good Chefs. Thanks Indian Star

Fabulous food, staff were happy to exchange item on banquet. Service was exeptional.

Disappointed. We ordered two curries, two Samosa chat, a mixed grill, two naan and some rice. The order we received was missing the rice. My partner called straight away and was told the rice would be brought to us in 25 minutes. So we decided to eat the curries last. We waited and decided it was taking so long, so I ate some of the curry on its own. The rice never came! Let down after the mistake was made by the restaurant and they did not fix the mistake never mind the fact that we also paid for it.

Absolutely incredible food as always. Best indian food I have ever tasted. Their wall of awards is not surprising at all. Utterly delicious.

I have ordered biryani through ubereats & i paid extra money for spicy level, where thats not even normal spicy & they just added chilli flakes on top. All my roommates tried that & said the same thing. There was no gravy & raita with biryani.
