90 mins to get our food, we pay for our food then get told their is a surcharge after everyone has paid. Shoulda told this as we were paying for our meals individually. Service was super slow!

Phenomenal. Youngest daughter has a wheat intolerance and they have excellent gluten free options. Food was delicious

Would be the worst place I have eaten a chicken parmigiana, it come out such a small size, we were seated at 7pm and food was finally served at 930pm
It come out half cooked tasted atrocious, the service was just as bad as the food, and then topped off with a surcharge of public holiday
2 and half hours of waiting for undercooked food without an apology nothing.
Would highly recommend avoiding this place.

Went with my family and gluten intolerant children. Kids were provided with colouring and staff were knowledgeable about gf options. Food was delicious, staff were lovely, great atmosphere.

The pizza was good, and they were accompanying of my dietary requirements, providing a GF pizza base and making the squid grilled to suit me. Also when we mentioned we were going to get ice cream after, the staff were helpful and gave us some great recommendations for places nearby! Would recommend.

Food was very average and so was the service

Absolutely exquisite meal. Service was fabulous and the overall experience was superb.

We ordered a Chicken Carbonara, Chicken and Mushroom Pasta, Meat Lovers Pizza, and Cannelloni. Also a wine and 2 beers. The overall bill worked out to be less than $30pp and there was plenty of food for us all, we left feeling VERY full.

Highly recommend this restaurant in an area with many Italian options around cbd week absolutely be back on our next visit.

Our experience dining at Il Gambero was ok. The gentleman host was friendly enough and accomodating us with our child and space required. The waitress came across as uninterested in being at work. It happens but puts a damper on the dining experience.
The food was quite average. One of our meals came out cold, however when we let the staff know they gave us a brand new piece piping hot which was appreciated. Also one our meals was forgotten and came out late and therefore after these hiccups we were all eating our meals at different times. Mistakes happen but won’t be running back here anytime soon.

Excellent food, sensational service from staff who are personable, friendly & aim to please. We dined alfresco & were pleasantly greeted, served & had a throughly enjoyable experience all over. Thanks for your suggestions & quality food!

Great food, freshly prepared. Loved that the staff were so responsive.
Downside is no air conditioning on a 37+ degrees day.but sidewalk dining a definite plus!

We were late booking for 12 people, Staff went out of their way to be very helpful and accommodating, Food, good, hot and came out quickly

Started well. Mains were lovely, but went downhill from there. 1 hour to wait for desserts. 3 flavoured gelato plonked down with only 2 flavours. Run out of chocolate. No one came and asked if dessert would like to be changed. Rude service. Will never go back.

Was very busy on a Tuesday night around 6pm but even without a booking we were able to sit outside and the service was efficient and the food was delicious

I came here for the first time for a school project learning about multiculturalism and we asked to interview the manager and he was more than happy to answer our questions. He was super transparent and gave us more than enough information. They were very enthusiastic and generous, and the great the food is an added bonus.

Went with my family to celebrate my wife’s birthday…easily the best Italian food I’ve had in Melbourne. The table service by Jess was sensational. Will be my go to Italian restaurant in Lygon street moving forwards…

Waiter spilled vine on me and even did not appologise.
Shock!
They even did not offer any discount or dessert as compliment. Never again.
