Had a half prosciutto, half margherita. Amazing! Super fresh ingredients and great dough. Could do with a little bit more oven time, but that's just my personal preference. Wish this place was closer to the city.

Love the food and service. The restaurant is nicely decorated, staff are very friendly and welcoming.

We were so looking forward to try them and ordered during our anniversary, but turned out dissapointed. Pizza crust is so thin and flavourless that it wasnt fun to eat. The dough tastes like a dry pita bread and not sure if it was cooked thoroughly despite waiting for 20mins.
We can tell its an authentic italian pizza with the ingredients and flavour they used. Awesome service and owners are very welcoming. I guess its just wasnt for us.

Bought a seafood pizza (Frutti de Mare) tonight and was honestly the worst pizza I've had in my life. Poor presentation, only 2 bits of prawn, and 2 large (out of 4) complelty empty mussel shells. Every bite literally tasted like CHARCOAL and after trying to push through eating it, I ended up spitting it out and gave up. Threw it in the bin. I now feel VERY ill and nauseous from eating some of it. First and last time buying from them. I would happily buy a frozen Woolies homebrand one over this one!

Update on the second time I've visited this restaurant, blown away once again with the friendly staff and service even on a busy mother's Day. The specials of the day were spectacular, II Desiderio has earned the top spot on my favourite lists of restaurants in Melbourne.

Staff is really nice. Pasta options are great. Good calamari as well. Nice cosy Italian restaurant.

This little mum-and-pop restaurant was AMAZING. We had a little trouble finding parking but that definitely didn't take away from the food experience we had at Il Desiderio.

You should definitely try their ragu with fileja pasta, the mussels and the italian doughnuts and cannoli. The desserts were for a lack of better words, to die for - though the chocolate in the cannoli had a bit of a grainy texture, but the flavour was brilliant.

This local eat will definitely be added to my list of favourites.

Would have to be the best Italian food and service I have ever experienced. Staff very welcoming and attentive to your food requirements. Food.well what CAN I SAY. YUMMMMMMY.top quality food. If you want top quality food, this place is a must.

Best local Italian restaurant we have visited! We visit here frequently, at least 1-2x a month and they never fail to disappoint. Generous serving sizes at an affordable price with friendly servers making the dining experience memorable. Chicken Parm and the Diavola Pizza are a must!

Beautiful little Italian Restaurant, very authentic and very delicious, pizzas are perfectly cooked and the pastas are also extremely tasty. Service was amazing also. Will definitely be returning. New favourite Italian restaurant!

Had heard a lot about this place so ordered few pizzas last evening. They were half cooked, unplatable, hardly any toppings and tasteless. Very disappointed

This joint is run by very soft spoken and sweet ladies. Even in these tough days of lockdown with less orders, they were humble. Baked a very fulfilling pizza for us. Wishing you all the best in your business.

My only feedback is that I had to wait much longer for my meal other people came after me and got their order, I'm pretty sure that my meal was not difficult to make compare to others.

Special thanks to II Desiderio for hosting my little family tonight in celebrating my daughters 5 years leukaemia free dinner. The food was beautiful as usual, but it’s was their show of love to towards our special occasion that was most impressive with us.thank you for the thoughtful gift you gave my daughter it was a fitting title (who run the world?) for strong independent women.

We found this little gem of a restaurant to be fantastic. It actually feels like you are in some beautiful Italian city. Food was awesome, quick, fresh and authentic. My family will be back for more. Hot Delicious pizza to your table in less than a minute, can't get better than that.

A beautiful venue, a small misunderstanding with the order but was no no bother. Food was fresh authentic italian. Literally wanted to try everything on the menu. Worth every cent. Staff really friendly and made for a beautiful experiance thank you we'll be back soon

The best Italian pizza and pasta ever. Customer service is exceptional, friendly and helpful in selecting the right wine with our food.

The only thing better than the people that run this place is the food! Authentic Neapolitan pizza is a rarity these days!
