We had our work Christmas Party there today I really cannot rate highly enough. We were very well looked after, food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Thank you Il Desiderio for making our day special. Definitely a hidden gem.

Absolutely beautiful food at a very reasonable price! The pizza here is delicious topped with seriously good produce and cooked in wood fire oven to perfection I definitely will return and recommend

I discovered this gem a few years ago, since then I’ve been here weekly, the food is amazing the pizza is Devine, the crust is always perfect with a thin base the tomato and cheese beautifully melds with the fresh delicious toppings, highly recommend the annanas and the pumpkin pizza, but all are good, yes I’ve tried them all, the meals are also to die for, the chicken parma is next level, comes with chips and salad, the salt and pepper calamari (I’m addicted to this) is again just a flavour explosion, the entre meatballs, wow, then there is the pasta, again I’ve tried them all, and again no bad ones, highly recommend the bolagnese, or carbonara, with any pasta or gnocchi is perfect, the staff I now regard as my friends are always up for a chat and have a passion for what they do, I feel lucky to have this place only a short 15 minute drive away,

Such great homely Italian food. Always so fresh and hot. Honestly some of the best pizza in Melbourne and the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

I had dinner here this week and had such a lovely meal. We enjoyed calamari, meatballs spaghetti carbonara and spaghetti Bolognese. The service was fantastic and the restaurant smells delicious. The music is jazzy and the vibe is really positive. The carbonara without cream is exceptionally good. I have had their pizza before also and it's a standout in an area with quite a few pizza places. Authentic and tasty. Great for a dinner with friends or a date. We will be back!

OMG, it had amazing ittalian food, pesto alla genovese and Pitzza was wonderfull. Good drink, lovely service, great night

I saw many good reviews and wanted to try. Pizza and pasta weren't bad, but not the best from my experience. Pizza is pretty big and good price.
My seafood pasta came with spaghetti instead of fettuccine which I ordered and it was too salty for all of my family. The staff are friendly.

I try the Bufala Margherita everywhere I go. The Queen Margherita here was honestly as good as 'Emma' in Rome. Nowhere else in Melbourne has made me feel like that before, and I've tried woodfired pizzas all over the place. Honestly as good as you can get in Melbourne.

The best ever italian food in Melbourne. Cooked with love and care, taste was just nice, blend very well in all the ingredients!

Another hidden gem in a local Wheelers Hill. Dishes and pizzas made by real Italian flavours, reminded me of Napoli. Wood fired pizzas and pastas are true authentic italiano style. Pizzas are light with all my fav Italian flavours, one of my favourite is salsiccia e porcini.

Why haven't we been ordering from here? The wood fire pizza was excellent and really enjoyed the pasta and salad. Highly recommend!

Really charming place with a great cozy, authentic Italian feel. Pizza was cooked really well and is super thin but at the same time gives you a satisfying crunch. The staff are really friendly and chatty which is really nice to see.
