Very friendly people here and fast service. The pizza and pasta are the best in the area. In other words tastes like heaven. You can not finish your night before trying their lovely and delicious dessert. I really recommend this place to you, specifically on Wednesday they have jazz night

I made a booking for 8 people for Friday night, only to find out when we got there they had lost their liquor license! It would’ve been nice to let us know beforehand… The restaurant was very busy, but also super loud. The service was average and they closed the kitchen without telling us, so we couldn’t even order coffees at the end of the night. Food was good, especially the pizza and calzone. We won’t be going back.

I wouldn't like to complain but I paid for a take away lasagna it's wasn't cheap 30 bucks and it was cold in the middle

Nice place with good food. Casual atmosphere. Unfortunately it was let down by the doors being left open near the end of our dinner and given it was very cold outside it was the same inside.

The owner let me modify one of the pizzas on the menu - pizza was delicious (mushrooms, prawns, truffle oil and parmesan).

Great food and friendly staff. The space is a bit cramped but they will be moving to bigger premises soon.

Italian food done right. This place is just heavenly, I can smell the beautiful garlic and pizza crust aroma from far away as I walk toward the entrance of this restaurant hence it's a good sign.

Service is great, the waiter are all so friendly and even give us a recommendation of their dishes.

The pizza just beautiful, even the crust is so delish.

For dessert we ordered tiramisu and boy it's sooo yum. Not too sweet but pack full of flavour.

Will be back for definately to try other dishes.

Fantastic people who really know how to put on a warm and friendly environment for Thier customers. They go beyond with service and kindness, also how can you beat the quality of the food they provide! If I could rate higher I would. Love this place

This is a small family business. Small, crowded, disorganised at times. But that is offset by their friendliness and enthusiasm. They'll get better! Give them a chance.

Particularly good was the live music, which is just the thing needed to add to the intimacy.

It is a small restaurant but with big taste. Service by Shima was fantastic, and the food was generous and prompt. We were recommended the pizza with mushrooms, and I reckon it was one of the best pizzas I have tasted. The pasta was cooked al dente and on point. The dessert was tasty as well. As there were not many parking spaces available in front of the restaurant, I had to park near Woolworth. Bookings are recommended as this place gets very busy.

No time to take photos we demolished the food as soon as it hit the table. Best authentic Italian food full stop. All love and passion to create something so special as this delicious food. The pizza dough is just perfection, if you love Neapolitan style wood fired pizza this place is for you, the flavours and creations are so tasty. We had the seafood marinara pasta, everying just marries together so nicely. Second visit back in 2 weeks. Our forever new local pizzeria. Bring your friends, family and kids. They will all be talking about the food and experience. Staff are ultra friendly and look after us from the moment we walk in to the time we leave. Bravo to the team at Il Desiderio on a very unique dining experience.

The food was incredible, such a thin base for woodfire pizza, couldn't recommend the food more and to make it more special the staff were extremely accommodating and everyone sung happy birthday. We travelled here from Essendon to meet family that live in the south east but the trip was well worth it.

I cannot express how much I love this place. For pizza, in the area (probably out of the area too), it's the best. For customer service, it is the best. My #1 criteria for judging an Italian restaurant is their Neapolitan pizza. The fact that it takes me an average of 45 seconds to get down the whole thing down probably says more than enough.

One of our absolute favourites. Cosy and very welcoming, excellent service and great value. The food is so delicious! Pasta is always perfectly cooked and very tasty, and their pizza has everything - always tastes great, flavours and ingredients are well balanced, and the crust has an awesome slightly chewy texture. As for desserts, the biggest problem is they’re hard to resist. Bon appetit!

Very disappointing. Chose this place based on reviews. We eat out a lot. Ordered chips for $10.00, came in a pizza box and was definitely not even a standard serve, two palmfuls of chips if that! Also ordered two pastas, one pesto, that was really ordinary and then aglio oglio with marina (extra 12.00 for marina option), total 27.00 hardly any seafood, to be specific one prawn and undercooked pasta not al dente. We eat a lot of Italian food and this was not a contender. All three dishes really disappointed. Will not recommend nor return as sub standard. Sad.
