Huong Viet Vegetarian & Vegan

Took a very long time to make around 40 minutes while reminding them every 20 minutes and the food is just okay for its high price of $20 for a average portion

Some of the best vegan food I’ve had, everything was hot, fresh & absolutely INCREDIBLE! Very friendly staff & food was quick to come to the table!

First time try vegan food. Surprisingly it nit real meat, fake tendon, fake fish cake. It so real, I couldn't tell real meat or not.

Went a few days ago, and found hair baked into one of the components of the broken rice. After telling the staff, they came back and said they'd made it again for us. Well, all they did was put everything on a new plate, and cut off a bit of the piece with the hair sticking out. But the same component with the hair was still there! They didn't realise the hair went through the whole piece. The blatant dishonesty is despicable.
This is the 3rd time I have found hair (1st time was inside a spring roll, unluckily for me, I bit into it and pulled the very long hair out of my mouth, it's sickening to think about, the 2nd time was in my friend's pho).
It's a real shame, because their food is really delicious, and there's not that many vegan options around the area, but I can't bring myself to go back.

Some of the best Vegan Vietnamese cuisine in Melbourne. Quick and friendly service, my only critique is that the menu was once larger. Bring back the Sweet n’ Sour Pork!

Beautiful space to eat. Lovely relaxing music. But best of all the food is amazing too. I had the sate mock duck with rice and it was just amazing it has mock skin and everything!

Amazing 100% vegan Vietnamese restaurant in Footscray with lots of tasty options.

The restaurant has plenty of seating and booking are generally not required. Tea is served on arrival.

There are plenty of options on the menu but my favourites so far are:
- sweet and sour pork
- beancurd fish with tamarind sauce
- sweet and sour deep fried flounder

The dishes are large imo and great for sharing. Highly recommend Huong Viet vegan to vegans and non-vegans alike.

Expensive for what it is. $24 for mushroom fried rice. Hmmm.nice but not worth it. And whatever you do, don't order the $8 wedges which comes out as small bowl of overcooked french fries. We then swapped for fried tempura mushrooms & they were so overcooked we couldn't even get the fork into them. We didn't bother after that. Not so sure we'll be back.

Large servings, great food and fast service. Worth the drive from Melbourne city. Authentic Vietnamese.

I had the seafood congee, whilst the stock was rich and tasteful, except for 2 pieces that resembled fish which really tasted like fish, the rest were rubbery and tasteless.
They were short of staff and struggled to cater to the dinner rush. It was a nice experience though.

I dream of the sizzling mushrooms and the wonton soup here. This place represents everything about great vegan food. It is flavourful, nourishing and soulful. Best of all, the service is so welcoming and attentive!

This place is delicious, I went with a meat eater and the food was enjoyed just as much as it would have been if the dishes contained meat. Friendly staff, nice and close to the station.

Quite impressed with how they imitate other meals that has meat.

The food here are definitely more expensive than your normal meal, so come prepared.

We've been here twice and have enjoyed it both times.

Delicious plant based food and lovely staff. Fantastic to see a restaurant that cares so much about the environment!

The Fries rice reeks of oil smell. The dish was supposed to have vegetables but there was no more than a bok Choy in it. There were under 2 mushrooms in the whole dish. Very avg and didn’t live upto the hype.

A beautiful restaurant with beautiful food and staff. Totally delicious vegan food. Will be back and highly recommend this place. Close to Footscray railway station. Worth the trip!

Fantastic authentic Viet food. Had the garlic tofu and Chinese broccoli pecking duck. All vegan as an added bonus but even if you're not the food is amazing. Prices are on point and friendly staff.
