Very overpriced. Does not have the recliner seats you expect at Hoyts. Cinema is very old and run down.

I had a wonderful experience at HOYT. The place was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Despite English not being my first language and facing challenges in communication, Dominick and Charles at the store went above and beyond to assist me. Their patience and willingness to help were truly commendable. I am grateful for their exceptional customer service and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to them. Highly recommended.

If you want to know the worst movie watching experience in your life, then go and watch movies in HOYTS MELBOURNE CEN. They are charging same as other Hoyts where they don’t have recliner seats, not properly air conditioned, filthy seats and no lights in washrooms. The overall movie experience was a very bad for me.

Smell stale as soon as you walk into the Hall and it was so dirty with popcorn strewn everywhere even on the seats. And it was 145pm in the afternoon and the cinema hall is so dirty and disgusting. I am appalled at the state the cinema is given the central city location almost every other seat has popcorns eeeks and the floor? !

Decent cinema with comfortable seats, affordable price and worth to watch an exciting movie, good sound quality as well.

First and last time doing Hoyts Lux. Seats were still filthy from previous session, some controls not working properly and food taking forever to arrive. $29.90 for a “signature” sundae that took 30 minutes to appear and it was an indiscernible pile of half-melted ice cream. And they ran out of their giant sundae glasses so ours was in a bowl. Lux? More like a trip to the outer ‘burbs.

What an embarrassing cinema check in.
Nearly missed the movie because the staff member behind the candy store counter had difficulty processing my Hoyts membership. Took a good 10mins for him to ring someone else who clearly advised him to re-start the computer. This is after I tried to check in automatically downstairs & even those machines wouldn’t recognise my bar code membership.
After asking staff downstairs can someone help, she advised I go up to candy bar have someone help me & that’s where the fun began.
Hoyts Management time for you to get your staff / system in order. I won’t be coming again here. Hoyts in the suburbs clearly know how to operate. City centre is a Joke! Lucky I didn’t ask for something to drink/eat. Staff member would have gone into back room & put a bullet in his head. Hoyts city centre get your s&$t together.

Terrible service, Ordered 1 water and a small lemonade, got charged for a large combo.when asked about this mistake instead of getting refunded or the mistake getting corrected they took another $24 out of my account so i was charged $40 for a lemonade and water.

* I find Hoyts over priced. I can't find a very good deals as other cinemas in Melbourne.
* I do recommend Docklands a lot, chairs are amazing, new and always quiet. Same price and better experience!

What can I say that many already are very familiar with. You pay for the experience. The food/snacks will make you take out a second mortgage, but hey, at least the cinemas are regularly cleaned.

Went to go watch escape room yesterday at 3: 50
The Cinema was packed no social distancing what do ever. I was sitting next to a group of people so it was not a fun time

First time seeing a movie at hoyts in Melbourne central. They need to upgrade their seating like other branches like victoria gardens and chadstone. Reclining seats should be standard now, which Melbourne central didn't have. But the great thing about the hoyts mobile app is you can change your seat anytime. Because when I initially book, I don't know which seat is best for myself. But once in the cinema, and you don't like your seat, too close too far, just open the app and you can "switch seats". Which is great because you don't have to worry about another person coming to that seat while the movie is running.

Great movie cinemas, very modern, very clean. The standard cinema is almost as good as being in the LUX cinema. Seats very comfy. Love it. 5 star!

Godzilla vs King Kong in Extreme screen. Seats are comfy and cinema was clean. Took awhile queuing up for food, popcorn machine burnt the popcorn, however, got a free large bucket delivered to our seats so can't complain really.

Self-serve ticket machine was a bit confusing to navigate, and if you delay during payment the whole system refreshes so you need to start again. Hilarious moment when it dropped our tickets to the ground but so very politely held the receipt for us to gently take.

Cinema experience pretty standard, although for the regular price at other HOYTS cinemas there would be recliner chairs. Ads run for 15-20 minutes following scheduled starting time, but they're all like this now.

Such a great experience. Phenomenal seating quality and sound dispersion. Can’t beat free popcorn refills as well! Be sure to stop on by for a flick and it’s the best location for your date night, guaranteed!

Great snacks for great prices and their reclining chairs are awesome, only wish they more of a variety with their popcorn flavours.

I really love the view in Hoyt's extreme screen, but I wish in Melbourne central their is recliner seats also but anyway I enjoyed it.
