HotDoc reviews
51Terrible experience with a psychiatrist from this establishment. After telling the doctor that antidepressants were not helping my ADHD symptoms, the doctor ignored this and wrote another script. This is after I had a clinical psychologist diagnose me with ADHD. As a result of this medication prescribed I had a car accident as for me the medication makes me exhausted and ruins my motivation completely. I already told this dr on several occasions that I have tried all of these medications before. I am currently unemployed as a direct result of this issue.
Been going to see my GP for over 10 years and they recently got this system and it has been such a wild improvement for booking my appointments. Great service!
Worst App to use And I’ll be lodging a complaint with the medical Board Clear loophole made a Telehealth appointment with a doctor to get a script for my daughter as she is asthmatic Dr told me couldn’t give me a script as I needed her old script I explained that’s why I’m calling She said well I can’t and I’ll email you and hung up Wgen I called the clinic the person on phone said we can’t give scripts over phone I said it doesn’t state that anywhere he said yes it does it says we don’t give out and he used a medical term I said how would the general public know that When I asked to speak to the manager of clinic The receptionist said that the manager was not there Will be lodging a complaint Monday morning to the Medical Board
As a patient and clinician - I love this service. So good! Minimises unnecessary administration. It would be good if you could link your medicare card and even eHR to this (I assume they're already onto this).
Made an appointment, centre had to reschedule it with me. Then asked for card details to secure it again, followed the prompts. Thought it was all sorted although I couldn't see the details of the new appointment. 2hrs later, appointment automatically cancelled as I hadn't secured it with payment details even though I had. 1/10 garbage tier system.
License to print money they don't care about you as a patient, they will charge you extra and hidden fees and you get trapped not being able to get your medication until paid for, they are only selling weed not looking after us as patients.
I suffer from depression and anxiety and they hang up on me, make my situation as a joke when I need serious help.
One nurse even said if you can't afford it maybe weed isn't for you.and I was addressing a 50 fee for missing a appointment.
Money grab here
Don't bother.made an appointment online using Hot Doc 2 weeks ago. Appointment WASN'T forwarded to GP Clinic. I now have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks for an appointment. Not happy, Jan
I love how logically simple Hotdocs is! For clinics and patients alike - it just makes sense to make like easier!
They want me to register my credit card with them? No way,
Never register your credit card with a third party company. Under the terms if your cards details are leaked its your responsibility. Banks won't reimburse you, because you gave them your details and agreed to their terms.
Hot Docs is so handy for booking Doctor appointments, and Covid injections. The reminders are very handy.
I am hoping you can use another way of communicating other than asking us to ‘click this link’. I would not do it as we are having a lot of trouble with Scams as would other people.
We are always being told to not click a link if we are unsure.
An excellent product which saves staff valuable time, processing appointments and recalls and integrates well with our software. Our patients use and benefit too, making bookings easy and reminders too. HotDoc provides great training and customer service too. A definite must for any medical practice.
I have been trying for two days to register with HOTDOC but it has proved that your registration process just doesn't work. In the end I called the clinic and made an appointment which proved much more efficient.
The HotDoc product is supported by an excellent team.
The benefits to my patients has been significant
The HotDoc app and system has never worked fluidly or easily as a person with a disability and multiple medical conditions. I can rarely check in to my appointments, reschedule them or save any time or energy with this service. My experience today has been nothing short of embarrassing and harmful. To receive 36 notifications over email, text and the app regarding 3 appointments and then their cancellation due to the unrealistic timing of “90 minutes to put in a payment method” is both unprofessional and confusing. I understand a payment method must be added, regardless of if I’m bull billed or not. Apps like this are meant to streamline a service for both practices and patients. I would highly recommend any practice looking at utilising HotDoc to reconsider the accessibility, service provided and impact on patient well being.
If I didn’t call my clinic to amend my appointments I would have missed critical medical care and medications that have to be filled weekly. My time, mental and physical health have been put in jeopardy by this failure of a system. I’m fortunate enough to have had the capacity to spend 30 minutes on hold to my clinic to get my appointments reinstated.
Regardless of the payment method needing to be supplied the barrage of communication and the overall inadequacy of this service (unable to check in, unable to rebook appointments, generally not user friendly) is embarrassing and potentially dangerous.
I look forward to the immediate addressing and development of the IT systems through HotDoc that prevent access to medical care.
Excellent product saving valuable admin time for staff, well accepted by patients and great training provided. A must for any medical practice.
Very happy to use HoDoc, always up to date with current information, updating their software to make life easier for all their users, great customer support also, definitely recommend
My regualr GP uses Hotdoc. As a result I am very familiar with the clumbsy nature of the HotDoc booking system. It requires me to use yet another password. Recently, I booked a consultation at another medical practice (near my work). It was so much easier. No password! It just captured my cell phone number & sent me verification link. Imagine that. Easier. More secure. And no endless questions! If you want this alternative, consider the booking system offered at CODD. COM. AU
I have utterly no connection with CODD. I just have no tolerance for clumbsy & lazy applications that I have to use.)
I had booked a time slot for telehealth but Doctor called me 2 hour later. This is not the first time, worst wait were 4hr. When i called in the Clinic, reception said they had to prioritize physical patient first. I always thought that Time slot in booking system also include those patient wanting to see the Doctor in the clinic as well. However this is not the case. HotDoc do not have reporting system against clinic.
The worst online experience of my life. Here is a list or reason why this service is horrible:
1) Long step up time
2) Irrelevant questions (survey) during setup
3) Poor integration with surgery
4) Requires credit card regardless of if there is a payment or not
5) Spam emails
I could go on but this terrible product has already consumed enough of my life.
