Very nice! Certainly lives up to the name "large". Chips were very good, however the wings were a bit rubbery and didn't have much flavour

If you can’t do anything for customer please just tell them you can’t do and customers will have another choice. Don’t say “yes” then not doing what you told them. It’s a kind of cheating. I was a regular customer of Hot Star but I won’t come back.

We ordered crispy mushroom and the chicken. The seasoning is like…. Almost no season. The chicken got very big bone, we have no problem but it could be a hazard. The crunch is good tho.

Great food. I got great recommend for the sauce (Cajun) from handsome boy. Tasty and crispy chicken. The waiting is long but the customer service is good

Extremely slow service. During the rush hours there is only one staff. You’ll have to wait about 30 mins standing in the street. Nothing is worth the wait. The chicken that I ordered clearly wasn’t.

Bought fried squid at around 11.45pm on 16/6 and found a hair in it.
How unhygienic! Will not be buying again

Went 2 times in the arvo and late @ night. Was served promptly both times and food was ready depending on how many people are there. If there's a decent amount of people ordering then expect to wait as there's only 1 person doing everything.

They should offer crispy oysters mushroom but we only got soggy cheap button mushroom! It’s unfair. You cannot sell the same price with cheaper one!

Totally not worth it!
Btw I’m a Taiwanese I know the what the good fried chicken should be

10mins waiting and being told "I got alots work to do, cant you understand that, a min doesnt mean a min, if you work you should understand"

Chicken is fried okay but felt too greasy by the end. My fingers were sticky and tummy felt bloated. I guess this would taste better if I had paired this with a salad, which they don't sell anyhow.

This place is actually really good, passing from QV and I couldn't resist. The size of the pieces were really big. With great flavour and not too expensive prices, it's good. I would come back.

It is only 3 meters wide, so it's easy to miss.

If hot star chicken was a country, America would have invaded it by now. The amount of oil dripping out of both chickens is enough to fry another two chickens.
Pictures are hard to justify, but upon taking the chicken out of the bag, oil was literally dripping out onto the table.

Not only that, the batter was not only not crispy, but it was just a mix of soggy, oily disgusting flour soaked in buckets of oil. Upon bitting into it, the batter stuck to our teeth and we could have spat out enough oil to fill a drum gallon.

$9 for a piece of oily, soggy chicken could have been better spent feeding the homeless person.
Would never come back.

Very rude teenage boy serving. No place to sit. I was customer number one and actually I was the only one however he treated me as if I am wasting his time and didn't welcome explaining anything about the menu so I ordered the regular large chicken. So I ended up standing in the street with a huge fried peace of chicken in my hand not knowing what to do. The chicken was not clocked on one side and burnt on the other and it was full of bones. At the end I had couple of bites and it went to the rubbish bin.

Terrible service, the staff even can’t cut the chicken into pieces, and they dun have 爆浆 chicken, shame on the store

Food is fine but service are not very well.i used to be politely to order but that guy face’s seems like I’m own his money.

Went here for the first time today after walking past it so many times and did not disappoint! The best sweet potato fries I have ever tried. I wish they had sauce though.

Very nice chicken, but more variety would be better, abit boring eating fried chook by itself, there is options of baby octopus n all that too. Service is pretty quick
