Hot Star Large Fried Chicken

The fried chicken was huge and juicy and the price was also reasonable. However, the line was a bit long and it took a while for the food to be prepared.

The food was some of the best chicken I’ve had in ages the large amount of chicken pop and chips all for $7! Service was quick and the food was hot, highly recommend this place for a snack or lunch. Lovely atmosphere and overall an amazing place.

Gave me wrong items for my order. Can’t call the store. Was looking forward to the chicken skin but got the sweet potato instead

The fried chicken tasted very average and it wasn't anything special in my opinion, plus I think it was a bit overpriced.

Expected a lot based on others being here. Not a fan, the thick gelatinous coating was unpleasant to eat and the spices added are overpowering. Followed by bones and cartilage at the base. Only saved by one star due to chicken being perfectly cooked.

My large fired chicken was half meaty and the other half was batter w Boney chicken w no meat at all I throw it in to the bin straight away. Thats cheating! How could this still survive!

Long waiting time. While the upper half tastes good, the bottom are just bones and chicken pygostyle (the fatty part at the chicken’s buttocks). No wipes, serviettes or cutlery provided.

So yummy, best Taiwanese chicken so far! I usually get it from swanston one but I tried from this shop, so gooood!

Ridiculous waiting time! Can’t believe only 1 staff working on Sunday! I waited half an hour for a single chicken!

Yummy and fresh. Best valued large chicken. Sides are great but small ️ but ok because taste great

Found a good mix cheese and plum

Made order and waited nearly 20 minutes as my order number disappeared from the ‘preparing’ screen.
Then they searched for the number and found that they had cause the order to fall underneath everyone else’s order. We then had to wait nearly another 10 minutes
Thats close to half an hour for some chicken pop and muchroom while orders after us were already being completed ages ago. Very disappointed

I’m disappointed on how your display your menu items in Food Delivery Partner platforms. (Eg: UberEats).

All your ‘meal’ choices come with chips. But when we chose any meal bundles in UberEats (eg: Family) - it doesn’t go to the next page since both chips options (potato and sweet potato) are by default selected. The page then loops back to us asking again to fill the “required” field.

So if we want to buy these items - have to go back to the menu to individually select items (at higher price vs the bundle discount)!

I would like to get an explanation for this to see why this is not a scam forcing customers to book at higher price?
I’ve screenshots. Bad experience! Disappointed. (Everything about the food is great though. Nice work on that!)

Missed the old staff and the old chicken style there. There is alot of change in recent time. Not a great place anymore

Expect to wait 30 minutes or above, seeing into the kitchen it's obvious they prioritize delivery orders instead of people ordering there

Put a couple of the payment machines please. One bad group or person blocks the whole thing for too long and is causing you to lose customers.

Came in for a late night snack and was surprised that the place was so busy.
Got the big chicken schnitzel and a snack box with chicken and fries.
The schnitzel could have been juicier and a bit more seasoned.
The snack box didn’t have much flavour to it either and you were able To count all fries on one hand.
I must say the staff was super friendly and was handling the busy time well.

Excellent taste. Cheap and bang for buck. Wish they kept at least one more person in their store though, it gets very busy and one person is not enough for all the orders.

I like how this place opens till late at night but the batter here seems different to other hot stars. Not as crispy or juicy.

Although the wait times are long, the food is worth it.salt&pepper, chicken salt, chili are the best combo as it can be a bit under seasoned so having all three is essential for maximum flavour

The best tasting and crispiest Taiwanese fried chicken in the CBD. Way better than the other stores and staff is very friendly and polite.
