Horn Please reviews
79What a wonderful experience! The finest Indian food I’ve eaten ever! For a sensational tastebud experience Horn Please is the place to go.
Not your average indian restaurant, the place was full of character and buzz. Customer service was on point, and the food was spectacular started of with some okra fries which were suprisingly tasty and couldn't go past the butter chicken, absolutely unbelievable best butter chicken I've ever had. Recommended
My rating is purely based on the fact that the restaurant is way too loud for adults let alone kids. They do have a facility for high chairs so naturally, one would assume that it is kid friendly (or expect to be informed in advance that it gets so loud).
We had 2 kids under 18 months with us who could not handle the noisy atmosphere amplified by the super loud music playing. It was also not helpful to ve seated in the area next to the speaker.
If they were open for a more casual lunch setting, I might consider revisiting as the food was good. Pricey, but good.
Not at all recommended for adults or kids who can get anxious with sensory overkill!
One of the best Indian restaurants that I have tried in Melbourne. Unfortunately also the only restaurant in Australia where I have paid 10$ for a bottle of filtered water. A suggestion for the owner: customers prefer to pay 5% more for the food, rather than feeling "fooled". Everything else was great.
Another great indian restaurant, try the buffet to select your favourite dishes to try.
Can get hot in the summer, and very busy, so not sure what is the best time to go.
They do an ice cream on a stick that I am sure is 100% cream, but oh so nice.
Ordered the Non Veg Family meal recently which was a bit pricy but it was a treat. The service over the phone was great and they said it would be ready in 30min which it was. The only things that would make me reluctant to order again is that it was all a bit on the salty side and the price, but I’m always up for trying something once.
Beautiful place, awesome food, great service, wonderful music. A must visitto celebrate special occasions or otherwise.would love to visit again anyday.
Absolutely incredible food. We came in as a group of 4 and had the banquet, believe me when I tell you it is WORTH IT! So much food came out and every single dish was beyond delicious. The only downside to the whole experience is that I live too far away to visit weekly!
A delicious meal. We were told once we arrived that it was a set menu but I was not notified on booking. The chef did however allow us to choose our curries of choice and we ended up spending as much as we would have for a banquet. It would be nice to give customers this option and perhaps just state a minimum spend price. Thank you for a lovely meal. Will return if we can continue to order a la carte.
Indian food like I’ve never tasted before - fragrant, zesty and delicious! Staff we’re friendly and helpful. And it’s top it off the music mix was
The food was too expensive and customer service was so chaotic.
Even the taste of food was nothing like authentic Indian food.
Found it waste of money.
We celebrated our daughter's 16th birthday at Horn Please and it was fantastic - beautiful food, great efficient and friendly staff and 80s music! Our group of 10 loved it.
The quality of food here can be blindly trusted. Extremely lively place and great ambience. The alcohol options were abundant. Can't say the same about the food options though considering that it's an Indian restaurant after all, but still modest. Ordered butter chicken, tandoori chicken, dahl, naan and mango lassi. Mango lassi was one of the best I've had in Melbourne. The tandoori chicken and naan were very palatable and the chicken was tender and well marinated. The taste of the curries, however, were heavily westernized versions of their beloved Indian variants (extremely sweet butter chicken, to the point that it can be considered a chicken infused dessert). Weekends are tremendously busy, don't forget to make a reservation and wait for a substantial time for your order to arrive.
Delicious food, excellent service and atmosphere. This will go in one of my favourite restaurant's list in Melbourne
Always great service with even better food. Great beer and wine list too. I love Horn Please - you will too!
Delicious cool indian join with colours and character to boot. $50 per head chefs selection the way to go but lots of food, thankfully spread out to aid you along the way. Recommended.
Naam badde Darshan Chhote: food is average. Came looking at great pics of food but it was just average taste. Good for one visit
From the moment I called I was immediately impressed. The best service! Quick and efficient and when I came in to collect my food i asked about the deserts in the window and not only did the chef explain them to me but he actually gave me a small selection free of charge. This was during the COVID period & I would definitely go back as the food was amazing!
Not at good food. Very happy with all curries. They should take more experience chef not kids in their kitchen. Waste of money
I had the absolute best night last night at Horn Please! I've been wanting to try this restaurant for sooooo long and it was an absolute culinary experience. The food was so unbelievably tasty and the service was even better. I am vegan and the beautiful staff catered to my dietary requirements so attentively, I will be coming back and telling all my friends.
