79 Amazing service /selection of food / Variety - lovely friendly staff
A must visit restaurant in Melbourne
Thank you to the Team at Horn Please
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely ‘HORN PLEASE’ restaurant in Fitzroy North. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything so delicious. Absolutely the best meal we had.
Highly recommend!
Beautifully decorated and lovely staff. The food is tasty and well presented. My only criticism is that, upon being told that everything is served mild as standard, I requested the fish curry to be spicy and the paneer makhani to be medium. Unfortunately they came out as mild as standard. Still quite tasty nonetheless, but I think if you’ve been assured by a staff member that it’s okay to have a dish made spicier, and it arrives with zero chilli in it at all, then you’re not getting what you asked for. It actually said on the bill “spicy” too, so I can only assume the chefs didn’t see it or refused to do it.
I probably will return, but not in a great hurry.
Once you walk in, you will be greeted by friendly staff with big smiles, they work at 110 mph.extremely prompt and attentive. The atmosphere is fun, the restaurant is buzzing.
We started the course with Indian street food. Gol Gappa! Seen this featured by a YouTuber visiting India.finally i get to try it! Verdict? I love it! A combination of great flavours and crispy and crunchy texture.
Followed by Papdi Chaat, Colonel Tso's Cauliflower and Tandoori Chicken (We added an extra serve of Tandoori.it's 1 of their specialty)
Thali came with different types of curries, so you get a taste of all their popular choices, served with garlic butter naan, rice and papadams (you can ask for top ups, the staff will happily bring you more)
Highly recommend to try their cocktails too. I had the Lychee Martini, it's a twist of lychee flavour blended with vodka and lime, super refreshing.
Everything so delicious we ordered chef’s choice Thali (vegetarian) it be was yum
. Great quality and service.
This is one of my most favourite places to visit for Indian food. I love the food here, and the vibe is very upbeat and fun! I love their birthday celebrations! I have been here to dine too many times to count and hope to go there again soon!
Ordered chef’s tasting Menu—Good starters, Main course - Lot of variety but nothing tasted good.
Can do better with hospitality.
By far my favourite Indian restaurant the food is stunning, the venue has a fantastic vibe and the staff are super friendly will return 100%
Food quality was great, quantity not so much.
Would have given 4 stars, but the manager/owner/the person who took our order tried too hard - he basically took over a minute to explain what 'a la carte' is (as if this was our first time dining out) and what the chef's specials are even though we had the menu in front of us and clearly knew what we wanted.
When we asked him if a dish we wanted could be shared by two or more people, his response was 'depends on how hungry you are' - a remarkably misleading answer to a very simple question. Most restaurants will clearly state at the time of ordering the dish that it is meant for 1/2 people, some dishes can be shared and not others. We had 9 guests at our table and we ended up ordering less than what we wanted because we thought ordering 5 entrees would suffice, but it wasn't enough. I still think the food quality was good and would consider revisiting if someone else took our order.
Ordered a pickup and was forced to wait 50+ minutes. It was clear they stuffed up our order but we had zero communication from the staff. Finally our food came out and we received no apology and were rudely rushed out the door. DO NOT order pickup, save yourself the time and go somewhere down the road.
Food was the BEST Indian I've ever had. We did the vegetarian chefs menu and each course was absolutely amazing. The only thing I'd say was the place was jam packed and we were on a very small table between 3 huge groups so we couldn't hear each other speak or hear what the staff were saying.
Always enjoy the food, it is first rate & authentic. The ambiance is loud & sometimes difficult to hear my fellow diners across the table. I was treated to the birthday fanfare which was a lot of fun.
Amazing food and cocktails:) Perfect destination for weekend and enjoy time with your friends and family.
Amazing food and atmosphere, I loved the Butter Chicken and the Dirty Lassi. Fantastic service, attentive and helpful.
Lovely staff and management, amazing food, great decor and a killer soundtrack. This is a fantastic place to have a nice big meal that'll keep you full for days.
Simply the best Indian restaurant in Melbourne.these guys do a out of the world fantastic job to preserve genuine Indian food flavors yet adding modern Australian twist. I have been to pretty much all Indian restaurants in Melbourne but horn please stands out at the top for serving genuine and authentic Indian flavors.good on you guys
I have been ordering take away from here for years and it's about time I write a review! These guys have never disappointed me! The food is consistently amazing. Every time I go in to collect my order (which is probably about once a fortnight!) the atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff are so lovely. I am looking forward to dining in one day but for now being cosy at home on the couch, there's no better meal than their butter chicken, palak paneer, and papadams with the lot
We LOVE everything about Horn Please. The dine in experience is super fun with such an ace vibe and the food is SO amazing and SO delicious. And whilst we can't eat in right now (thanks Covid + lockdown!) our weekends are made better by ordering take away. Our faves are the smoked lamb curry, the dahl tadka and the kashmiri naan is unbelievably good. Thanks Horn Please team, you rock!
Response to restaurant response below: This is patently untrue. There were four delivery drivers assigned to this order over the course of the two hours. I watched each of them get to the restaurant on the map while it was 'wrapping up' and each left. I managed to get in contact with one of the drivers while he was waiting and he advised me that Horn Please had told him it would be another 30 minutes and advised him to cancel. I also tried to get in contact with you after the 3rd driver left but your phone was disconnected. Shame on you for blaming the delivery drivers.
Original review: Waited over 2 hours for our takeaway only for the order to be cancelled at 8 pm! No message from the restaurant, no apology, nothing. An unhappy hangry customer. Would not take a risk on this unreliable place again.
‘Horn Please’ is a amazing place! Great food served by some awesome people. I took my husband on his birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing hospitality shown by the staff.
