Interesting place with a good selection of meals but not many were traditional German? Music was very loud for decent conversation. They had run out of non alcoholic beers which is not good practice these days. My salad was very bland and would have benefited from aoili or horseradish sauce

First visit back post-covid, booked seats on the balcony. The atmosphere was as we remembered, but have to say we were a little disappointed with the food. We decided to go with old favourites- veal and chicken schnitzels. The meat itself was well made and prepared but the sides were bland and not particularly plentiful. There is an extensive and interesting range of beers on offer as well. I have given four stars because l have visited several times and always enjoyed it, but this time something seemed a little lacking.

Almost feels like a hidden gem along all the popular spots along south bank. Had a lovely quiet dinner and drinks on the beautiful balcony area. Food and cocktails delicious.

Such friendly, wonderful staff. Food was delicious and beers were great. Thanks for a fab lunch.

Nice selection of German beers and some traditional German food. Nice deck overlooking the Yarra and the city.

Great collection of beers. Wish there were more food options, especially bar food.

Great Pan-European inspired place. Love the fit out, Riverview and beers on tap. The food is great, though not 'authentic'. The feeling is "everyday premium" and anyone will find something they like. Great for a group boozy lunch or dinner.

Fantastic venue, had my daughters engagement party there. Staff were terrific, food was fantastic. Our guests compliments on venue choice were non stop. Thankyou to your wonderful staff who all contributed in making the night a memorable one.

Lunch deal is just awesome, great food and beer quality. Friendly and helpful staff too specially PJ.

I was unfortunately served raw chicken. Granted the staff were very apologetic and paid for my meal and drinks, but it was an awful experience and I'm sad to say won't be back.

EDIT* this was many months ago and yes it is the right restaurant, I have photographs of the chicken within the venue.

Great venue with views across the Yarra. Shared the pork knuckle and the kransky, bloody beautiful. The kransky had a nice spicy taste to it and the pork knuckle was as tender as, it melted in your mouth.

Service was pretty awful. Waited for 20 mins to get served and ended up just getting up and asking a waitress if we had to order at the bar (we didn't). Ordered drinks, entree and mains. Bretzel came out cold in the middle. Another 20 mins later our mains came out with no sign of drinks. Turns out they got "lost in the system". Pork knuckle was dry as the Sahara. Potato dumpling was amazing, thankfully. They took the drinks (which ended up being really good!) off our bill without our asking, which was nice, but we probably won't be back.

Came for lunch, not many in the bar. Ordered two burgers and two drinks. One burger came out 15mins before the other, one drink was forgotten. Staff seem more interested in their phones than serving their customers. Won't be back

Great selection of German beer. Food is average and a little overpriced for what you get, 'pork schnitzel' isn't a schnitzel at all it's just a fried pork fillet.

Average selection of drinks. We had an office party here, and the space felt a bit cramped, there was a table / another party very close to ours and it can get really really noisy.

Good food nice place poor service had to wait 30min to 45min for each drink for a work xmas party unlimited tab on bar and had to wait 30min for a drink each time very poor not going here again
