Location is good
Drink is good
The food are disaster, don’t even think of it.
The chip was too salty and over fried in the oil.
The kid chicken was smelly, it was dry and look like been in the freezer for ages.
DONOT ORDER ANY FOOD.

Great place for after work dinner and drinks. Amazing location to sit and watch the world go by. Reasonably priced food and 2 hour happy hour always a plus.

Absolutely amazing, food was sensational. Best muscle soup I have ever had and amazing fish and chips. Great service, would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. 6 stars

I booked for good Friday evening, I wasn't told that there was a surcharge of 15%, and I was surprised when we got there. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but I thought their menu was over priced based on the poor quality of the food we received. Few years back, it was our favourite place to go enjoy the good food and the nice view. But our last experience was disappointing when it came to the service and the quality of the food.

Pretty disappointed. First time coming here. Service was basically none existent. Table hadn't been wiped down before seating us. My husband and I ordered one cocktacktail each and a dozen oysters, which came to $100. Cocktails were not good and the oysters were not fresh.

We had my birthday at Hooks with all the children and grand children on Sunday.
It was such a pity that the presentation was non existent. No table cloths, cutlery and serviettes in a tub. The food was very slow to come and some guests had half finished their meal before others were served.
The prices are too high for the venue, it didn't feel like we were eating in a restaurant but rather in a cheap Chinese place you find on Swanson Street where all the students eat at less than half the price.
The menu was very mixed but not Asian enough, only the starters were Asian. The food served was mostly good except for the 3 scallops at $16.50 which were tasteless and looked very unappetizing.
The position of Hooks is lovely, looking out on the river.
Attention to detail would benefit the restaurant and also Yarra's Edge.
We wish the new owners all the best.

Great food and service. The lamb shank was a delight. Dumplings are awesome. Looks like an ordinary pub menu but goes beyond.

Great outdoor atomsphere with an amazing seafood share platter that absolutely rocked our boat! Service was amazing, left feeling super satisfied overall!

Lovely location by the Webb bridge, great happy hour ($7 pint of 4 Pines) and friendly staff.what else could one ask for.go give this place a visit today!

My family just has dinner in this restaurant last week and although we had some troubles with our reservation the amazing and helpful staff had helped us find a table on time and they even give us a dessert as an apology for the troubles. The food is high quality, tasty and fresh and there was plenty of it, we were all very full when we got home. I particularly suggest the Lamb Cutlets for a spicy lover like me. I love the view of the Hooks as it looking out the beautiful Yarra River. It was an enjoyable experience. Absolutely come back.

I've been living in Yarras Edge for a decade now and Hooks is our local. We come down for a drink and meal at least once a week. In summer sitting in the sun watching it set on a bean bag can't be matched! Equally, it's lovely on a cold winters winte rugged up with a blanket and a good meal.

Food and drinks are all great, happy hour every night is another welcome addition and the staff know us by name.

Whenever we're in the mood for a quick drink and meal, we come to Hooks.

I can not count how many times I have been to Hooks. I was firstly impressed by their furniture’s arrangement. As a bar, I expected to see the bustling atmosphere with modern equipment and decoration, but Hooks gave me the feeling of home-stay, of a warm and welcoming family. There come palm trees with lines of tables and chairs made from bamboo, I guess. Every time visiting Hooks, I try myself different food and beverages, as they offer a wide range of choices for the guests, from low to high price (still reasonable). I love the way staff treats me too. I’ll definitely come back.

The Hooks is near my house so I and my husband often have our date nights there. The place is pretty romantic with a beautiful view looking out the Yarra River. The food is fresh and delicious, my favorite dish is the Atlantic salmon, and I suggest you try this if you have a chance to come there. The service is fantastic, the staff is really nice and we do not have to wait long for our food even if it was at the weekend and the place is crowded.

Me and my girlfriend just randomly walking into this restaurant in our vacation in Melbourne and we did not expect much since it was not very crowded in the morning, but we were very surprised. We had coffee, eggs and some bacon for our breakfast. The food was amazing especially the coffee. The staff was very helpful and the service is nice. The prices were very affordable, even when the restaurant is located by the Yarra River with a very good looking view. I would definitely come back.

Nice place with the views of yarra. Wide variety of menu, pho, pizzas, fish and chips etc. Lots of vegetarian options.

If you sit under one of the palm trees, in one of the puffs a d order a paint of Stella, you will have a good moment oh happiness, guaranteed!

This is a great little gem. They catered for our group of non spicy needs to very spicy needs. Staff are great and helpful. Highly recommend Hooks at the Yarra. Can't wait to go back and eat there again.

Always love to sit outside and have the coffee. The view from the restaurant to yarra river is really nice. Very friendly staffs and clean restaurant. The Chai latte and Cap are good here. Highly recommended.
