Hooks At The Yarra reviews
68Perfect place to catch up with old friends and besties looking at the high rises of the docklands
10/10 service
- House wine affordable and honestly… pretty good by house wine in Australia”s standard
- would most definitely recommend the chicken skewers (made with love)
Absolutely rubbish.
This was the worst Mojito I have ever had in my life. No effort put in what so ever. Lacking the flavour.
Would not recommend.
Don’t wast your time and money here.
Very unprofessional staff n customer service is not nice at all. Guy’s stop buying drinks from here because they don’t know how to make drinks. Waist of money!
Great place. The seating outside by the waterfront is a perfection. Most people are here for drinks but the food is good also.
You're web listing says you close at 10PM. We walked a half hour to get there just before 9PM. Your entire staff was sitting around a table laughing and having a great time. After a few minutes of being completely ignored we had to ask for help. When we did, we were told the kitchen closed at 9PM. It was 9: 01PM and we had been standing there being ignored for at least 3-4 minutes. This was very unprofessional and rude behavior and we resent being treated so callously very much. We are in Melborne for another week and would not eat there if you paid us. Thanks for nothing.
First time to go here for our anniversary. The Restaurant is quite small, we went Sunday night which wasn't that busy but there was a loud crowd drinking. Everyone mentions the seafood platter so I had to order it. Cant say it was any good and the price is questionable. Some of the frozen prawn wasn't left so ended up leaving them. Staff was friendly and the service was ok. The dinning plates are smallest you will ever see and I struggled to eat on it.
On a nice day, Hooks At The Yarra, at the foot on the south side of Webb bridge, is a picture perfect location for a relaxing bite, cold beer, wine or coffee. Sitting on the beanbags under the magnificent palm trees is quite a popular and relaxing way to dine at Hooks.
Great place to have a drink, staff are excellent, remembered my name after 6 months since I was there last
We called in on Saturday to have a couple of drinks and to meet up with some friends.
Tiffany and Andrew were both fantastic.
A couple of drinks turned into lunch then dinner. We stayed for 8 hours.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND the food and service.
Thanks again Tiffany.
Hi everyone. We went to Hooks various times and we always enjor the great service that Peter and his staff rendered as well as the quality of food. Certainly, we have to go back soon and have another great experience. Keep the good work!
Cute little place in South Wharf. Nice and quiet atmosphere in the outdoor seating, with big palm trees providing shade and the breeze keeping it cool. Menu is varied to appeal to most, and service was great.
We could in as a family for a quick refreshment, it was very nice under the palm trees with a breeze blowing.
Came into this restaurant expecting a nice meal on the river. The start was disheartening while I arrived with my family and the door was closed in my face as we were going to enter. Service was laughable. Took them 10 mins to ask for our drinks. Took 20 mins to make a a cocktail and a coke. Food menu had spelling mistakes and grammatical mistakes. Food looked terrible as other tables got their food. Overall displeased with this visit. The staff members need a lot of hospitality training and other training
While the food was reasonable, unfortunately service left a lot to be desired. We were attending an early sitting and the restaurant was by no means at capacity however there was a disproportionate focus on the patrons ordering drinks from the bar vs.balancing the attendance to other patrons.
Food was mediocre. Customer service was extremely disappointing. Waited too long for food, not one person cared in the entire restaurant.
Could be a great spot.
Lot of room for improvement.
Half the items offered in the menu weren't available.
Decor is dated and doesn't make you feel comfortable.
Disappointed, what a waste for this nice location restaurant managed by people who doesn’t know how to run it. We have been waiting for 30 mins no one attended to us take orders. All the waiters just care drinkers in the bar. And the food overpriced, not professional manners for the customer service. They really need their staffs get a professional training. When I ordered grilled salmon I really don’t want it half grilled and half sashimi. And the tomatoes saucer still dirty can seen it been served raspberry sauce before.
So disappointed tonight, we arrived there at 6.30pm and we ordered our food, waited for another 1hour an a half to be served, the food were overpriced, I don't mind that but saw people just walked in and got served while me and family were there first and we got served last, I don't understand as I am a customer service myself, it should be always, first come first serve, why are yous excepting more
people while you can't keep up with customers already there
Really nice food; good service. But there is nowhere to park near it. Either you need to live / work in area or take cab.
