Hochi Mama

The food was absolutely delicious but the service was very average.

A staff member checked our vaccination certificate then asked us to wait while she checked the group's behind too. The group behind were struggling with their check-in app so we were left waiting while they got their check-in sorted. Eventually the staff member came back to take us to our seat but the table was 1 seat short and she said she would bring one, but she walked away and started checking in others at the door. I had to go and find the extra seat myself.

Service aside, I would highly recommend the food.

Caught up with a friend for dinner here and we went for the feed me option on the menu! The food was fantastic and the portions were massive! Both cocktails and food are remarkable and packed with rich flavours!

Love the vibe and the atmosphere.but most importantly the food is amazing and the mocktails and cocktails are delicious

Hands down, no question the BEST RESTAURANT IN MELBOURNE. Everything is good, literally everything. And all reasonably priced. I found this place in June this year and have already been 8 times (and that's with being in the lockdowns with had). Best food, best drinks, best service, best decor and great price. What more could you want. Going back for number 9 on Monday.

We had a fantastic evening here for our first dinner out after lockdown. Great, friendly, attentive staff, we were looked after very well. The food was outstanding, the duck crisps were the star of the dinner. The cocktails were among the best in the city so be careful. They have really good vegan and vegetarian options. A great place with a great vibe, banger after banger on the sound system too.

My bestie bought us the DIY Hochi hamper for grand final to celebrate my husbands birthday, and boy it did not disappoint. All the dishes were packed so well and easy to prepare, and heated up so well. We had the hock curry and the Massaman curry and they were devilish melt in your mouth. Drools. Although.the salmon ceviche was soo refreshing with all the right textures. Cant wait till we get out of lockdown so I can have friends over and share this with them.

Terrible service - they are all over you to take your initial drinks and food order, though try and order another drink or dessert and you struggle to get anyone’s attention.
Food also comes out very quickly making you feel rushed.
On the upside, the food is tasty!

We had a wonderful celebration at Hochi Mama in the city. It was for a 50th birthday and our party of 16 had the Mama’s Feast banquet. The food was incredible, so flavoursome and beautifully presented. And the staff were amazing - so attentive and lovely, nothing was too much trouble. We had dietary requirements and last-minute changes to our numbers too and Hochi Mama accommodated us graciously and had great communication leading up to the event. Thanks so much Hochi Mama - we will definitely be back! ️

My wife made a last minute booking with the restaurant's, Manager Sa. She was very hospitable and accommodated us and our baby well. The staff were all very friendly and it was a delight dining in with amazing atmosphere of not just the music & seating but great hospitality.

We personally think, its very much underrated and deserve more spotlight. If you are out with tour kids or your friends, amazing place to dine at! Food is perfect!

I had booked a table for my brother, dad and I and we were served by Adam who was lovely, made us feel very comfortable and was helpful with any questions we had.

The food was amazing and we were so full after choosing the ‘feed me’ option. Everything was amazing.

Table of six and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed the meals. The beef bone dish (sorry don’t know the name) was the BEST. Absolutely recommend.

I’ve been to the Richmond location and I wanted to see if the quality was comparable at the CBD location and it definitely was. Besides the menu being slightly different, you can expect the same quality of flavours and freshness in their dishes. I HIGHLY recommend any of the Baos and the Satay Chicken. Also do opt for the Feed Me Now option as it allows you to try lots of dishes for a smaller price than if you were to order them individually.
I haven’t been disappointed in anything I’ve tried so far and I can’t imagine I will be. Such a fantastic establishment that I can rely on to serve consistently good food.

Came here a while ago and soft shell crab curry is amazing here, but didn’t appreciate getting seated right next to the very loud bar despite booking in advance, so loud at times to the point that it was sometimes difficult to have a conversation.

Best tasting fusion restaurant for the best value! Gotta try everything because this place makes it hard to pick favourites.
