One of the best breakfasts I have had. Very interesting twist on dishes. French toast with all its goodies was lip smackin! Pork Brisket baguette delicious. Interesting drink options too. To top it all great ambience and amazing service!

In May, 2021, my wife and I got married in this beautiful cafe. We had planned to be married here in September, but, COVID hindered us. However, Hobba and their staff were very helpful with multiple calls and chats, as well as being very accomodating towards the stresses of our wedding rescheduling.

The night itself was filled with friendly staff and amazing food and drink. We would not hesitate in recommending Hobba for a wedding or other kind of event hire. The venue itself is beautiful with the high ceilings and greenery lending itself towards its homey/comfortable feels.

First time there what a great place. Would be great to go out of lockdown. Couldn't believe how fast the service was. Nice coffee and cakes

Love Hobba. It's my local. And I love how they keep my favourites on the menu. Johnny is the best.

Funky brunch spot to grab a feed and coffee. Diverse menu and specials board that goes beyond the standard smashed avo. The Thai crab omelette was a tasty winner, especially when paired with the requisite Bloody Mary!

Bustling on a Sunday afternoon, Hobba has long been on out to-do list, and we are so glad to have finally made it.

The seemingly simple menu was well executed and far from ordinary. Offering generous, delicious portions, our brunch certainly not disappoint one bit, and left us satiated and satisfied in every way.

We recently had our wedding at Hobba (ceremony and reception) and it was absolutely amazing. All of the staff were so friendly and happy to help, the area was stunning and spacious and the food was sensational. Every single one of our 100 guests commented on how nice all of the food was. Can't thank them enough for giving us a night we will never forget, absolutely recommend for any event and will definitely be going back.

Great venue with a rustic look and feel. Food menu boasts a good variety of options. The burgers were delicious!

Always a solid local hangout for all day brekkie and brunch. Great food and drinks menu and usually daily specially. Available for functions and private gatherings at night. Industrial decor is bang on for a coveted mechanic's garage.

Really wanted this place to be good. Service was poor, coffee was delivered luke warm, food bland. Liked the atmosphere, but sadly wouldn’t return.

Hobba never disappoints, the coffee is unreal! And the staff are super friendly, no matter how busy they are. Highly recommended.

Really good café with free wifi. The muffins were really delicious and fairly priced. The venue itself is spacious with lots of great little nooks to work. I work here during the week at times and it is one of the best places to work and have a coffee in Melbourne. The staff are nice and let you do your thing.

Such a great venue! I had the chance to assist to a wedding there. The staff was lovely, the food and the beverage really enjoyable, had a really nice time.

Lovely staff, huge portions of good food well presented. First place we got brunch in Melbourne after it had been recommended by a couple of locals and a great start to our trip.

Excellent coffee and friendly relaxed service. The eggs benedict was a bit disappointing and tasted bland even after adding salt and pepper at the table. Southern fried chicken burger is a win though!

Take this review with a grain of salt. We came on Christmas Day, so the experience is probably dissimilar to other days during the year. The cafe was busy and only seemed to be serving food (simple food like muffins) in cardboard containers. We had to wait some time for the coffee, but this was expected as not many cafes were open. We enjoyed the coffee. Good but not great.

A great place for luncH or breakfast. Healthy options, great coffee, great service and really delicious food! Highly recommend this place for weekend brunch.

My two times here have unfortunately been less than good. Most recently one of our meals was served cold, though was replaced with apologies. The other plates were.mixed. Great service, good coffee and an excellent space. It's a real shame the food experience isn't as good or consistent.
