Recently used HiFi restorations for a small service and repair of an old record player. The record player wasn’t mine rather my fathers and was being repaired as a gift for him. Andrew was extremely pleasant and considerate explaining exactly what was wrong with it and how he’d fixed it. Turn around was also extremely quick as I only had to wait a day to get it back. Overall very pleased

Andrew set up my 40 year Linn LP12 that hadnt been turned on for over 20 years. His customer service is exlemplary and he also an expert in his field.

The Linn sounds great even though I am using a substandard phono.

He also gave me some good advice for future minor upgrades.

The price was very reasonable with only a 2 day turn around; perhaps I got lucky as I was expecting a few weeks.

Hifi restorations will be my prefered hifi repair shop from now on.

Andrew sorted out my old Technics auto turntable to now operate correctly at a very reasonable cost - back to the way it originally was when I bought it. The new Ortofon cartridge, as discussed with him, is a great upgrade, Thanks again Andrew.

I took my Thorens TD160 turntable to Andrew for a service and replacement cartridge. I cheekily asked if I could get it back ASAP as I wanted it back before the Easter break to spin a few records. Andrew completed the work over the wknd and I was very happy with the result. He didn't upsell a expensive cartridge and instead suggested a replacement stylus, he also upgraded the worn down mains plug. Very happy and would recommend.

After sitting for several years gathering dust I finally took my Linn Axis turntable and Linn Intek amp to Andrew to bring them back to life. The turntable needed a bit of work to get it up and running and the amp just needed a clean. Both are now working beautifully together and my much loved vinyl is once again being played. So happy was I with the service provided, I have just had the laser replaced on my Arcam CD player and once again the results are wonderful. Andrew is always easy to deal with and as mentioned by others the repairs are completed in a very timely manner.

Andrew responded quickly to my online query. Although I just wanted my cartridge aligned accurately, he was happy to help me. He completed the job in a few minutes while I waited. He clearly knows what he is doing and I was happy with the results of Andrew's adjustment. I feel confident that he could advise on/fix more serious issues with turntables.

Hi Fi Restorations refurbished my 1978 Linn Sondek LP-12 that has been in storage for the last 20 years. Andrew understood my needs and provided a range of options with prices, and explained each so I could make an informed decision. It was ready within 24 hours and he did a fantastic job. Will definitely go back for all my audio needs.

Contacted Andrew and described fault in my Amber amplifier. Took it to Andrew and was repaired next day at a very reasonable cost. For me the fast turnaround was astounding. Very personable chap. Explained to me the procedure taken and also answered some questions I had regarding Hi Fi equipment in general. Highly recommended.

Andrew was very helpful in fixing my turntable. He told me exactly what he was going to do to try and fix it and gave me the minimum cost of what that would be. Andrew has been servicing and advising me with my LP12 for many years now. When I was recently able to purchase a new LP12, Andrew sourced and set up the table. Andrew always does a great job, takes care, generously shares his knowledge, does everything in a timely manner and is a pleasure to engage with.

Called Andrew re turntable problem and he took the time to ask some questions regarding what I'd done to resolve then suggested a couple of extra things to do (align stylus and balance tone arm) and would seem my problem was resolved. Thanks Andrew for your time, generous and very helpful.

Fantastic service from the guys over at HiFi Restorations. Dropped in with an old turntable that wasn't working quite right. Where other stores tried to offer me a new turntable, the man I saw took the time to give it a look over in what turned out to be a pretty easy fix at a low cost. Very happy
