Decent place. A little old fashioned but good to watch classic plays and musicals. The stall seats in the back are not great because the slope of seating arrangement is quite flat. If you have somebody tall sitting in front of you good luck! That being said the sets are amazing and the plays are nice. Worth a visit if you have any good play or concert going on.

Love this theatre you always get a good view no matter where you are seated. We saw Muriels Wedding, and it was fantastic, one of the best things I have seen, loved it would be happy to see again.

First time there or any musical for that matter bought the missus some tickets for west side story very large joint to say the least worth a look but if you are scared of hights done go any higher than the 2nd row

Good venue, just needs more staff for the intermissions.

Also I'm unsure why they rush people to their seats, play chimes and announce over the loud speaker that you have 5 minutes to reach your seat, then make you sit there for approximately 15 mins before the show starts. Plus they let people enter and/or exit at anytime throughout the show.

Packed in like sardines. Seats have been moved very close together. Couldnt move. No airconditioning

Nice amenities, the cafe especially with excellent customer service. Did they take the seating from the Princess Theatre & put it in here? That's what it reminded me of. Not much legroom but the seats were comfortable enough. Muriel's Wedding was terrific, well done to all involved.

This lovely old theatre is beautiful. Staff are always attentive, giving booster cushions to children, and helping with seating. Like most theatres, toilets are few and there is always a line! Centrally located, and easy to get cheaper snacks from a Seven 11 which is on the next corner. A Melbourne icon.

Am giving the theatre a poor rating, not the show! The show, “Muriel’s Wedding, The Musical” could be an outstanding event wherever it performs. I’m giving HMT a low score due to their pettiness. Why? You may ask, the seats (as indicated) were vacant throughout the entire performance, and at intermission i asked if we could relocate to any two of them! The answer was a resounding NO. What was the harm in obliging and doing that? Just HMT being petty!

Went to see Muriel's Wedding. Great performance. The staff were very supportive and friendly (we had our daughter with a disability).

Great comfortable theatre and very helpful staff.

Not sure why babies are allowed into live shows as they are restless and cry during performances, including this afternoon's matinee.

Beautiful venue, wonderfulnl staff, and barely had to wait in line at interval or wait for the bathroom!

We saw Muriel's Wedding the musical and enjoyed every minute. We had great seats in the stalls and had a good view of the whole play. Looking forward to seeing something else there!

Beautiful building, lovely theatre experience. A few more toilets would improve rating. Looking forward to my next visit.

Great show. Lovely old theatre. Staff get people in and out quickly and smoothly. But the seats are so uncomfortable. My butt was numb after about half an hour and I had to keep moving in my seat.

Easy to get to by train. Get off at Parliment station. It's a 6 min walk
Great bars and eating places locally for an evening session

Amazing performance of Muriel's Wedding. Do the onstage experience. It's amazing. But make sure you get the information sheet. And show up and hour early for the debriefing.the production value on the show was insane. And the company were so powerful.

I saw school of Rock and Aladdin at this theatre, both shows were great and the food was great too. The lights outside look really pretty.

Saw the fantastic production of Muriels wedding at Her Majestys on the weekend. The theatre has a wonderful history and is still reasonably comfortable. The facilities are reasonable but the toilets always have a long line, so plan accordingly.

The venerable old Her Maj still holds a special place in Melbourne live arts. The decor is lovely and it is holding its age beautifully. The seats are comfortable (I'm sure they are not the original) and every seat has a good view.even up in "the gods". It's always great to hear the next musical blockbuster will be at Her Majesty's as you know the experience will be that little bit better.
